so if anybody as some creative ideas i could use for my party like decorative ideas or food or something that would be great thanks

Roll out a red carpet leading to the door, have a few photographers there (even rotate some early guests with disposable cameras!) - maybe someone with a video camera to "interview" each guest as they arrive. Serve sparkling grape juice in champagne glasses and some small appetizers (see if Food Network's website has anything on the "Behind the Bash" for specific food ideas - I know they've covered a couple of premieres) put gold paper stars on all the doors - marking the powder room as a "dressing room", some party supply stores carry replica Oscars - put a few on tables to decorate. See if your local video store, movie theater, or FYE or something has leftover movie posters or cutouts to place around the room.

have a hollywood sign, but instead of it saying hollywood it could say the her name. Or you could make the party look like a big movie premiere

Use a red carpet for the stairs leading to the grand enterance. Have photographers (the papraezzi) there to take pictures of the guests when they are on the red carpet. Use a old fashioned movie projector and have a movie of the birthday girl up on a big screen running all night. Serve non alcoholic drinks in martini glasses.

There are lot's of "16" songs from the 60's & 70's -- get them and play them at your party -
Have your colors black, silver and gold. Place a black tablecloth on your main table and sprinkle gold and silver
star shaped confetti all over it. Use gold or silver colored napkins, plastic plates, untensils ( a good party store has these ).
Another idea is to use gold and silver stars on the walls, doors, or put them on the floor with differant celebritey names on them ( Hollywood walk of fame ). Also decorate with differant movie posters.
Have someone set up a red capet area and set out disposable cameras and a basket so people can place them when done taking pictures ( paperozi ).
For a fun dessert idea you could have cupcakes with differant movies written on them or star shaped cookies.
