I need help with centerpieces for our themed wedding.?!

Question:

I need help with centerpieces for our themed wedding.?

We have 5 tables, themed for five continents. I need some ideas for the centerpiece on the European table
1. African table with a moroccan linen and a carved statue of a giraffe as the centerpiece.
2. Asian table with gold and black asian theme linen and a bonsai tree as the centerpiece.
3. Australian table with camel coloured linen and australian native flowers as the centerpiece.
4.Antarctic table with white crushed satin linen and an ice sculpture as the centerpiece.
5. European table with a gold and green striped damask/tudor pattern but what can I use as the centerpiece? I don't want to be tacky and use big ben or stone henge or eiffel tower etc. I'm looking for something more subtle and mature.

Answers:
I would use a very ornate teapot and you can get the nice loose leaf tea to sprinkle around or put in small dishes.

Politically, you could just put the American flag face down and put a knife in it! Well, Europe is known for it's mountains and chocolate....how about a mountain of chocolate?

I would do a montage of the "old" European currencies. Since it is a wedding, maybe a money tree with lira, pounds, francs, marks, etc. on the branches. Or you could fill a big champagne-shaped glass bowl with coins and even pop a few Euros in in too. Or you could pay homage to the birthplace of champagne and get a jeroboam of Taittinger or whatever Dom you can afford. Best to you!

What about a reproduction of a Master's painting or statue that reflects love, small to sit on an easel or pedestal, or sheet music from the many great composers from Europe. You might also consider some lace from Ireland to compliment your table cloth. Hope this helps.

I would go with an old english look. Maybe use some old lace and a country style bouquet maybe some old maps of europe as an underlay to your lace!!! Good Luck
