Party-what alcohol should be in the bar?!

Question:

Party-what alcohol should be in the bar?

Having a get-together with some friends-ladies and men in their mid 20s-30s. I personally do not drink much alcohol, but I have a bar that needs to be stocked for all.

What alcohol must I have in the bar? Want to be cost effective, so please suggest inexpensive, but good brands. Also, what juices and mixers should I have? Any decent priced beer-good tasting beer?

Thank you for your help!

Answers:
Beer does not vary too greatly with cost, so it would be worthwhile for you to by a better brand that everyone will enjoy such as Yuengling or Sam Adams, definitely buy them by the case and get bottles - much classier. As far as spirits are concerned just buy Absolut or Skyy vodka, they are cheaper but not considered bottom shelf (you HAVE to have vodka) and depending how many people you have you'll want to get several bottles. If you want some other spirits try a less expensive brand of rum like captain morgan (you should only need a single bottle of rum) and you might like to get a white rum such as bacardi or malibu to make some "girlier" rum drinks. As far as mixers are concerned, go all out! They are cheap and you can make all kinds of drinks tasty to people even if you don't have the spirits they drink (they can just drown vodka in a juice they like, if they don't really like vodka). Go for orange juice (a lot), cranberry juice, pineapple if you want to be tropical, coke, sprite or sierra mist etc... Lots of fresh cut limes and lemons will make it look a little more professional.. So will a good supply of clean glasses and ice.

As far as wine is concerned a cheaper Australian red wine like a lindemans, rosemount or some of the penfolds variety in a shiraz or merlot will be widely liked and give you a cool look for "importing wine".

Good luck!

P.S. Grey Goose is not what you want to do for a party like this. It's a great vodka but very expensive because almost everyone will drink it and if you get a really good brand they'll go for that before anything else... BAD IDEA. Stick with Skyy of Absolut.

beer

VODKA

Make your own beer and wine. Can also make home brew saki, with rice and currents

Must have hypnotiq, tequila, crown royal, and E&J, and gin. For juices you want cherry juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, pinapple juice, red bulls. Get some kahula, smirnoff, bud light, and coors.

Beer, vodka and whisky. And maybe some licors for people who doesn't like strong drinks...

Vodka can be mixed with just about anything, especially juices. You can always get some Rum & Jack Daniels and coke. Those 3 things should satisfy just about everyone. If you are really ambitious, you can make frozen margaritas provided you have a good blender to chop ice.

Gray goose vodka, captain morgan rum, Jack Daniels whiskey , soda's for mixers.
Coors/ light.
Maybe some bacardi's Wine coolers.

I think I may have a good solution for you. If you have one drink that may appeal to all, you can save yourself alot of money. People in their 20's and 30's like something trendy. I might suggest that you go with Pomegranite Margaritas. Make them tasty and strong and they will be a hit at your party. I too held a party and wanted to please all and decided to go with this and it was a smash hit.

Beer, Vodka, Whiskey, Malibu, and Juices

My boyfriend and his friends always seem to like bud/bud-light. Try going with just a couple specialty drinks for those he don't like beer....such as margaritas or pina colodas. Most people will be able to find one drink out of 3 or 4 that they like
