Any good party ideas for a 3-n-1...?
I'm throwing a big party for my younger brother. He is graduating, going to the marines and it will be an early birthday party since he'll be in boot camp when he turns 18.
-100+ people
-Restaurant setting (my mom's restaurant)
-ages from 16+
-there's a Dj & dancefloor
I would like to do something memorable, he is the last one to graduate & turn 18; Also we are proud of him joining the Marine Corp (plz keep ur opinions 2 urself). Any ideas are greatly appreciated...oh yea, the date for this is June 28th.

Well, you're off to a great start! Some things you might add:
A slide show or video of your brother over the years.
Ask the guests to email you in advance their favorite stories about your brother, or anything they want to write to encourage him on his new venture. Put it together in a scrapbook for him to take along. He'll appreciate it when he's missing you all. You might want to read the more embarrassing, sweet or funny ones aloud to the group at the party.
have all his friends and family write something to him that night. just pick up a inexpensive journal @ any walmart, target, etc. it will be something he can take w/ him to pick him up on the hard days. be sure to have several disposable cameras, too. just toss them on the tables for everyone to use, then develop them to disk so you can e-mail them to him later.
i think that it is great that ya'll are doing this for him. my mom did something like that for my brother - he graduated & when in the USMC all in the same week.
Marines! Thumbs up! OohRah!
The idea of photos and stories is a good one. Perhaps folks can make scrapbook pages using both so all you'll have to do is let them know what size page, then you can add them to a scrapbook you decorate for him. This may not be something he can take with him now - it would be a no-no in boot camp.
You can even take all this information and make a DVD from it using some of his favorite music as background.
Whatever you do, he will appreciate it. You're making wonderful memories.
