Is 6 weeks too early to send an Evite for a 4th of July party?!

Question: Is 6 weeks too early to send an Evite for a 4th of July party!?
Every year we have a 4th of July BBQ and I find that by the time I send Evites out, even 4 weeks in advance, people already have plans!. Is it too early to send them out 6 weeks in advance with a "Save the Date" on the Evite and details of the bbq!? I would like to send them out next weekend for the 4th of July with an RSVP date by the end of June!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I don't think its too early!. We got an invitation for the 4th already too, and it was just a verbal "save the date", so we are!. You might want to followup about a week before to remind people and ask for an RSVP then!.

Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. 6 weeks is the correct amount of time to send invitations!. Have a nice party!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, that is perfect time so they don't already have plansWww@FoodAQ@Com
