What are some fun ideas for an end-of-the-school-year pool party?
I'm throwing one and its the end of elementary school! I need it to be cool!

definitely beer 4 the fifth graderz!!! jk, just a LOT of sodan and if its at the pool, b sure 2 include hot guyz 4 the girls, vice versa (we're getting 2 the age, rnt we?!) and water guns @ a fancy pool!!!

Set up a volleyball net on the pool so you can play volleyball.
Get diving rings and have contests.

You could get your guests to bring their music CDs. Put masking tape on it and write their names there so you would know whose is it. Have a few of your classmates be deejays or emcees or you being the host, can address this and maybe you can have song dedication. [this could be cool and hilarious]
Have contests like the best team that wins the volleyball game gets to push the other team in the pool. OR you can just play and have fun. Always have enough games and rank them from must-haves which rank the top, and maybe little, small group games when like, half your guests have already left for the last games.
You could get your friends to potluck the food. It can be interesting to see what others brought. [I held a party once and my friend brought gummy worms and gummr bears and gummy everything in a container.] And, it helps if your budget is not so high.
From my experience, if your games are high activity ones, like volleyball or etc, get your guests to dress casual and prepare a lot of drinks for them, especially iced or cold drinks.
Get prizes for everyone. Get candy or small bags of chips that everyone would be given. [but not really like goodie bags, it's just kinda cliche and kiddy right?]
OR. have a themed party. Its memorable and fun.
Get help from your classmates with the deco and stuff.
Most importantly, have fun and ENJOY YOURSELVES :DD

For food, set up a nacho or hot dog bar and let everyone choose their toppings (cheese, mustard, ketchup, chili, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, etc.)
And for dessert, do a sundae bar with various ice cream flavors and toppings (nuts, m&ms, crushed cookies, coconut, syrups, etc.)
If it's a pool party then that's pretty much most of what you guys will be doing. Make sure you have music and food.
