Your question is too broad in scope. Exactly what form of chocolate are we talking about here? Bar chocolate? Chocolate chips? Hot chocolate? Truffles? Brownies? Ice cream? So many foods are chocolate-based (or have that glorious potential) that a little specificity is required. Even if you can narrow the range of your inquiry to, say, bar chocolate, you still have to come up with more answers. Are we including white chocolate here, which, as most people know, isn’t technically chocolate at all? Are you thinking of, for instance, solely dark chocolate bars? What about chocolate bars with fillings? Again, the possibilities are too great for me to have a ready answer

Hershey ..hands down, a lil chocolatey but down!
Lindt chocolates, Godiva, Ghiardelli, and of course the Hershey Kiss. For me though if its chocolate, it is the best.

You should really give it a try if you haven't.
They have some crazy combinations like chocolate with fruit and such but their milk, dark and nut combinations are out of this world.

worldwide? dark chocolate from fabrika krupskaya in St. Petersburg Russia, specifically "osobii" or "special" in a brown package with white polka dots. Here, I'd say Lindt 70% excellence. It has a pure clean flavor because it doesn't have fillers, not even lechiten. If we're talking homemade, try bridgewater chocolate from CT ;-)

Godiva is great,a little pricey. Dove makes great dark chocolate. Hershey is OK (their candy kisses are the best!)

I am a bit of a chocolate snob... Scharffenberger is definitely the best chocolate made in the United States (in Berkeley, CA). Cote Dor from Belgium is great, and the Rittersport Milk Chocolate with Butter Biscuit from Germany is to die for. I usually get my special chocolates shipped from chocosphere.com.

The best chocolate is not widely know but its made by Chuao.
It made the Forbes Most Expensive chocolate list and it's worth every penny.
