The big 10 birthday party for my daughter... fresh ideas needed..?!
My daughter is going to be 10 on August 4th!. I am having her a slumber party on August 2nd and her birthday party will be the following day!. I could use some fresh new ideas for the slumber party and the birthday party!. We've done water balloon fights, scavenger hunts, relay races, etc!. I am looking for some new ideas that her and her friends might like if anyone has any ideas!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would ask her if she has thought about her birthday this year and if she has anything in mind first, she may have been talking about it with her friends already!. If not, then you and her can brainstorm so many ideas together!. I used to have SO much fun planning my niece's parties for her, that was half the fun for me, so I understand! LOL
There's so much she can do!.
You can take the girls to an amusement park during the day if there's one in driving distance to you!. I'm sure they would have a blast there!. Or even a water park!. They would have a ball!.
You can have a camp out in the back yard!. Set up a tent, tell the girls to bring their sleeping bags/blankets and pillows, get plenty of flashlights, snacks, chips, etc, and have them camp out in the backyard IF they're comfortable with that!.
You can also set up an ice cream bar for them!. Go to the dollar store and get those tall plastic sundae glasses, then get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream, and any others that are favorites!. Get some toppings, sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, cherries, caramel sauce, etc, and have the girls make their own sundaes!. You can do that no matter what you end up doing with them and they'll have so much fun with that!
You can do an Around the World buffet with them!. Depending on what kind of your daughter and her friends like you can set up a Taco bar and nachos with all the toppings and fixings from Mexico and decorate that one area in a Mexican theme, then do pizza and pasta, etc, in another area and decorate that area in an Italian theme, and so on!.
You can also ask if she would like to do a real, grown up, sit down dinner party with her friends as part of her party!. You and your daughter can make the dinner from appetizers to dessert, set the table in cloth tablecloths and napkins, etc and she can have sit down dinner party with her friends!.
OR she can send out for the food instead of cooking it, OR she and her friends can cook the dinner with you if you're ok with cooking it with them!.
You can do the spa night with them!. You can ask a friend or another relative to come over and help you and do the girls' hair, make-up, manicures, pedicures, etc!. Give them a real spa treatment!.
No matter which one you do, make sure to have LOTS of junk food! Snacks, chips, whatever they like, it's a special occasion, a time to eat like they normally don't and to have the kind of snacks and junk food on hand that they normally don't have!. LOL
You can also do a movie night!. You can get a red carpet or fabric, then get some stringed clear Christmas lights or solar lights and line the sides of the carpet so the girls feel like they're walking the red carpet when they're entering your home!. Then, you can get a piece of plywood or foamboard, paint it black and get some silver paint and paint your daughter's name and that it's her b'day and also do the lights around that, so her name is in lights! Just like a movie marquee!. Then, go to the dollar store and get those cardboard popcorn holders, get microwave popcorn, and big boxes of movie candy, at movie time each girl gets their own bucket of popcorn and the boxes of candy they can pass around!. also tell the girls to bring their blankets and pillows to lounge out on during the movie!. Get some sunglasses and boas and things and set up one wall in your house with a sheet, that can be the picture/photo area and the boas, glasses and things can be the props for the girls to get their pictures taken!. You can take their pictures as they're coming in on the "red carpet" to your home, but you can also take their pictures posing with each other and your daughter in that one area too in your home with their boas and things and with the solid colored sheet, they'll feel like real stars!. Then after the movie, there's the "post" party for dinner and cake!. They can have pizza or the sit down dinner or whatever you and your daughter decide and then ice cream, cake whatever!. You can also go to the craft store and get those blank frames and have the girls decorate them so they bring them home after the party and have them as a way to remember the party!. You can get stickers, paint, etc all in the movie theme and have the girls decorate theme and they can put a picture in them from the night!.

why don't you do a SPA Party!.!.!.!.it's not as hard as you think!.!.!.!.here are some ideas a friend of mine did with her daughter (and 5-6 of her friends)!. They ALL got a kick out of it
- cucumber slices for their eyes
- let them soak their feet in water (pail or foot massager if you have one)
- maincures and pedicures for all (mom co-ordinated!.!.!.first she applied cream to their little hands and feet then painted their nails)
- relaxing spa music
- lootbags (dollar store) slippers, lip balm etc!.!.

my son had his 10th birthday august 28th last year and we rented the skating rink so he could choose his freinds and I didnt have the mess !.!. we had a glow skating party !.!.!.!.!. we went and bought tons of glow sticks and they had a blast !.!.!.he didnt like to skate before his party and now he loves it cause everbody thought he was the cool kid wit the cool parents !.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you can create a theme and patttern of parties!.you can keep some competitions such as dancing,or a game in which you will decide three teams and play detective game!.the game is like this :-you have to prepare clues on paper such as making chit and writting in it look under the mat,and give the chit to playres but you should hide a chit under the mat which says that find at place 'x'!.and finally after hidding many chits hide your treasure(any gift)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for my sister's 10th b-day we hired a photographer and he came in and all the girls got dressed up and they had a photoshoot at my house!.!. it was loads of fun! if you're not crazy about that idea you could take them canoeing if you're up to it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do like a 20's theme or like a mardi gras theme and let them play dress up!. Get a digital camera and they can take glamor shots of eachother and you can take a couple yourself!. Have a make over contest!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
