Need ideas for son's b-day party.?!

Question:

Need ideas for son's b-day party.?

He will be turning 4 in June. We live in Houston and it gets really hot in the summer time. Where are some appropriate places to have a party? His favorite characters are Go Diego Go and Spongebob Squarepants. Any ideas for theme, decorating ideas, party favors, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Answers:
the park or maybe the pool?? or a nice air conditioned bowling alley

There is a really cool party place called Bounce On It in Pearland. It's a big building with giant air filled bouncy things like a dinosaur, superman, a castle, a basketball thingy, a tropical theme-it's really neat. My kids love it there. I don't think they have Go Diego Go or Spongebob but you can probably bring your own stuff.http://www.bounceonit.net/

Your son will be 6 , 8, 9 before you know it and as a kid party lover myself i would recommend this book (Debbi brown party cakes for kids)
Look for it on amazon @ http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/18539184...

These are phenomenal cakes you can make for him or another special kid by yourself with easy to follow instructions.

That said for party ideas-

1) You can get all your go diego go party favors and supplies from - http://shop.nickjr.com/family/index.jsp?...

2) You can do and jungle animal or underwater theme

to achieve the underwater theme you can

get ideas from - http://www.celebrateexpress.com/celebrat...

or - http://shop.nickjr.com/family/index.jsp?...

For the go diego theme -

jungle themed cupcakes like this

and for more ideas see the site listed under number 1

Hope it helps.

My son is turning 4 this weekend.
I would do Spongebob. Since it will be nice and hot, why not hire a big spongebob jumping castle if you have the room and you can turn the sprinkler hose on it - have the moms bring the kids in their swimwear - but provide sunscreen of course.
you can easily make a cool spongebob cake and make games and snacks relating to spongebob, patrick, squidward etc. (i wouldn't recommend serving octopus for the kids to eat though!!) maybe serve starfish sausages (you buy the mini size hot dogs, slice them long ways about half way down, slice them again so from the end it looks like an "x" put them on the bbq or grill in a pan and they open up like little flowers (starfish!!). you can have mini fish nuggets, chips, and all sorts of fun candy and treats. Tiny crabby patties.

decorate with heaps of yellow helium filled balloons.
make the invitations on bright yellow squares and have your little boy stick spongebob eyes on them, print off the message on the back something like:

oooohhh, who live is a pineapple under the sea....etc. etc. and make it suit your little boy and your address. make sure you tell your guests to rsvp via "shell phone"!!

oh you can have so much fun with this one! boxes painted to look like little boats for running races, mermaid man games, there's probably a lot more ideas than I have that can be found on the internet.

when the kids go home, see if you can get some yellow carry bags and glue spongebob eyes on similar to the invitations - tie one balloon on for each child to take home. fill with spongebob tokens and candy (the party stores and online party supplies have AMAZING stuff).

get a huge piece of thick card. Paint spongebob or patrick on it. Cut out a face space. take photos of each child at the party - have them print off on your printer for them to take home - or send as thank-you's
