Are Hors D'oeuvres always served with cocktails?!

Question:

Are Hors D'oeuvres always served with cocktails?

Answers:
Uaually, Yes. But then again, I mean you need SOMETHING to drink when you eat.. at least I do.. LOL

But if you don't drink alcohol, why not iced tea in fancy glasses or something like that?

Not always, but usually.

Hors D'oevres are served with any beverage that is appropriate for the group you are entertaining. For my grown up friends I serve wine, or coffee. But for my 9 yr old granddaughter's friends we serve a variety of fruit teas and punch.

Hors D'oeuvres are before meal snacks and sometimes are served with wine, beer, mixed drinks or punch, sodas, lime/lemon waters, ice tea, your choice and depends on the occasion.

It's always a good idea to have something to snack on when having cocktails. No need to go to extremes to impress, just a few simple munchies would work. I would recommend chips n salsa, fruit, ect....it would just depend who your guests are! Also keep a little bottled water on hand too, just in case...

No not at all. Depends on the event. Very often the answer would be yes, but there are events where you would not serve cocktails, and would have some sort of small appetizer available to guests.

not always, but it's a good idea- and the polite thing to do- to serve alcohol without food can prove to be a dangerous combo for those who cannot handle a lot of booze.
