Easy recipe for finger sandwiches???!

Question:

Easy recipe for finger sandwiches???

I need easy, inexpensive recipes for finger sandwiches! We are throwing a bachelorette party for a friend tomorrow night and we are NOT going to a bar/club. We are having a "fun" party when she first gets to the hotel suite, then we are going out to eat at a restaurant and then we are having a lingerie shower when we get back and then just having fun after that. We are having stuffed strawberries, party mix, chocolate kisses, cake for snacks. Since we are going out to eat, these will just be to nibble on while we are having fun. I have looked online for recipes for the finger sandwiches but haven't had much luck. I don't have a lot of time to search the net since I have an almost 15 month old toddler! lol PLEASE any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated! I need these to be easy, inexpensive recipes. THANKS in advance!!!

This is for the one who asked about the stuffed strawberries recipe. You get fresh, whole strawberries and cut the tops off (but save and set aside). Then kind of hollow out the middle. You get cream cheese and a box of powdered sugar and mix together with a mixer until smooth. Make sure the cream cheese is ROOM TEMPERATURE before mixing otherwise you will end up with lumpy mixture. Put the mixture into a ziploc bag and cut corner so that you can use it as a type of "funnel" to fill the strawberries. Put the tops back on the strawberry. *You can add a little red food coloring to make the filling pink, if you would like* They are DELICIOUS and always a big hit at a party/wedding.

I'd skip the sandwiches, and have lighter nibbles, like veggies and dip, hummus and pita or some quality cheeses and good crackers if you're going out to dinner. If you do go with finger sandwiches, you can make (or buy at the deli) your favorite tuna, chicken, shrimp or ham salads. If you're making them in advance, lightly butter the bread first so it won't get soggy. Remove the crust from the bread, and cut into "fingers". Or even better, get small bell shaped cookie cutters for a "wedding bell" theme. Cream cheese mixed with herbs or chopped green olives is another common filling.

Another idea; mini quiches can be found at Costco, and once you bake them off, they can be served at room temp.

you could try white bread , cream cheese and a cold cut of your favorite ham or turkey . then make a roll and cut it.

OK, how about Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. You make them just as you would a grilled cheese, then for some added sweetness sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Hope this helps!

Also, do you have the recipe for stuffed strawberry's, it sounds great.

tuna salad sandwiches....mix a can of tuna with mayo (or miracle whip if you like more tangy tastes) and you can get creative with a simple spice or two if you want. spread this on white or wheat bread and cut off the crusts! (if you want to anyway.
or instead of tuna, use FINELY chopped apples and cucumbers mixed with miracle whip. (how much of each depends on you. i'd add more apples (golden delicious or fugi (the sweeter brands) than cucumbers) sounds weird, but i thought they were good :)

Tuna salad
Egg salad
Cream cheese w/ chopped cucumber
Cold cuts & Cheese

If you are eating in a resturant and having everything you listed, it sounds like you have it covered....probably wont need much more/

Wrap sandwiches are probably the easiest..use multi-grain wraps or flour and use your choice of fillings - tuna salad, egg salad, crab salad, ham, salami, turkey, roast beef, etc...add a little cheese, some crunchy lettuce,etc...roll tightly, slice into pinwheels and spear with a toothpick. You can make a larger variety this way, without having to make a bunch of different sandwiches!
And you can use your imagination for different fillings; roasted red peppers, cucumbers, olives, onion, pickles, tomatoes... these also work well!

try ribbon sandwich.- grated cheese, white bread, food coloring.
mix the food coloring in the grated cheese and make the sandwich, cut the bread in slant halves.

In India we use cilantro pesto / chutney and use that as a spread on sandwich bread. bWe spread butter on bread and then this chutney. Hope this helps. Someting new and different -

Olive spread

Mix room temp block of cream cheese with a half cup of mayo. Add chopped black and green olives and a little bit of chopped onion. Mix and then chill. Can be spread on crackers or bread and then cut into tiny triangles. They look so pretty and taste is addicting!

Hawaiian sandwich spread
Another is cream cheese room temp, drained crushed pineapple (small can), package of chopped pecans and mix -then chill. Spread on bread or dip with crackers.

Cheesy Nut spread
Another is package of shredded Cheddar cheese, 3-4 chopped green onions (tops too), one pack of slivered, toasted almonds and enough mayo to moisten. Spread on bread - it is YUMMMMMMMMY!

Make a deli tray, by cutting the meat into a triangle, and your cheese the same way, place toothpicks in the meat, and cheese, garnish with pickles, olives, have mayo, mustered in the squeeze bottle,
Take your bread, cut it into triangles, let the Lady's do there own sandwich's,
you can also do cream cheese with a jelly on crackers.
