Kids birthday parties?!

Question:

Kids birthday parties?

Im thinking of this year hosting a party in the house, i was thinking of the DR WHO theme.

Any ideas, to make it more fun or dr who-ish!
I am invited his friends who can be a bit snobby, and unappreciative.

Answers:
how about putting a tardis by the front door for people to walk through or maybe a dalek themed cake.

hope this gets the creative juices flowing

how about a fancy dress party? as if they dont like dr who they could come as their favourite charechter.

well its for the kids. so dont worry about you snobby friends. you can get loads of stuff on ebay. plates and stuff. and maybe even get a giant bit of card and paint it like a tardis door and then stick it on your front door. so your house is like the tardis. lol just an idear. and you could try and get cheap toy and stuff from ebay and the shops to. and even try and make a cake in the shape of a daleak you can by cake shapes just look on the internet. you could make the food look like it from another planet. and loads fo cool things like that. hope this helps you and good luck planning the party

Oh, dear me! Why all so much politics and snobbery around a child's birthday party? Does it have to have a theme? Why not just have some good old fashioned fun? I also wouldn't bother about inviting his 'friends' - they are not friends if they are unappreciative - they are 'hangers on' at the worst and 'acquaintances' at the best.

How many kids are you thinking of inviting? - And what age?

I think that you best bet it to make sure that they don't enter your house. Hire a mini-bus or a coach (depending on numbers) and take them all to the nearest (and cheapest) theme park. Provide them with a McDonald's and a £5 ticket for rides - and then get rid of them as soon as possible!

Don't fall in to the expensive parties for children - have you seen those dreadful programmes on TV? If you go ahead with this, you are being as snobby as they are and you are encouraging your son to be the same!

Tell him that he can have (say) three good friends and that you will take them out for a day in your local city doing the 'tourist' thing - we are just outside of Cambridge, so punting on the Cam would be good - and then all the ice cream soda's that they can manage and a nice meal!

Please, don't take the 'must have' route - think of something original and exclusive - should shut the snobby unappreciative lot up, anyway!

for a total dr who party you could decorate the house like a tardis. ormake a tardis door and attach it to the lounge dorfor instance and then it looks like it's iside the tardis. Good Luck and happy birthday to the birthday boy!!!

Let them play with each other on their own. Just put a little music and they'll surely enjoy themselves.
