Anyone have ideas about what to cook for a new man?!

Question:

Anyone have ideas about what to cook for a new man?

I can follow directions, but not very creative in the kitchen.

Answers:
Ya know, my mom always said, "The way to a man's heart is through his belly."

Now, thinking about what to make..........Hmmmmmm............
It depends on his likes/dislikes/allergies. You don't want to go through all that work for nothing. Have you ever seen his mother's cooking? Make something similiar. Otherwise, think about where he likes to dine out. What would he order? Now if you are not very creative in the kitchen, why not order something and serve it on your own dishes?

Don't forget the candlelight and soft music. =) Good Luck!

Salmon
salad
asparagus
pie

If that does not work, just make sure you can f*&k like a wildcat.

Everything and anything especially simple dishes first. Don't go out of your way to try to impress him too much. he should like you for who you are!
Generally you can do simple dishes for 2 like casseroles, pies, roast chicken, pastas soups and salads.

home-made spaghetti and meatbals and garlic bread

The best thing you could do is cook something you love to eat. If this is for someone you just met and not real sure of you want to stick to an old favorite. Later on you can experiment with foods you both enjoy to eat. A home cooked meal is always the best no matter if it is Filet mignon or mac and cheese the thought of it is what really counts. Good Luck with your new man, GO GIRL!!

taco bell. they got everything there...... yum!

A new man? Microwave popcorn. Follow directions on the package.
Give him some kool-aid with it. ( You don't want to give him the wrong idea that you are going to cater to him )

When/If things get serious make him a big plate of Nachos with all the fixin's.

How about a nice breakfast? :)

Most guys love good old meat and potatoes. Get a great steak, bake a potato, have a simple salad on the side. Include an easy dessert, like chocolate mousse. Will be simple, but he'll love it.

Nothing red for example spaghetti. I hope you understand why. Some men are superstitious. Fried chicken baked potato and broccoli and cheese.

Just go to the yahoo home page and do a search for recipes. It is a very good source.

1. Can you cook?
2. Don't start anything you'll not willing to continue to do!

PERFECT DATE DISH

Look up Rachel Ray's "You Won't Be Single for Long Penne with Vodka Sauce"

ummm... I dont know, but for dessert you should make Creme Brulee! They're delicious!

ask him wut he likes

Definitely keep it simple - choose something you know you can master. Better to have some non-exotic chicken on the table at 7:00 than burnt chilean sea bass and soggy haricots verts 2 hours late. No need to be scared of something a little new - look through some recipe books or browse recipes online to look for a new twist on something you do know how to make. If mashed potatoes are within your skill level, you might try spiking them with cheddar and garlic - whatever. You also might want to do a little prep work ahead of time like they do on TV - chop your onions the night before and stash them in a ziploc in the fridge - it'll save you some stress on the big night. But have fun with it, and hopefully he will too =)

As a MAN and eating fan, I instinctively thought about some nice pasta (with some nice salad and good wine).
I think I would like a girl whom I just met to make that for a first dinner date.
Most Pasta sauces are easy, fun, and can be mad in advance of course.
You can work on the relationship by letting your man boil the Pasta itself on the spot while you make last arrangements.Let him share the responsibility, it's fun and really not much to ask.
Trying to make anything too fancy, might be embarrassing if you try it for the first time or not target your man's taste.
A good tip would be to always test a new recipe in advance.
Good luck and Bonapetito.

As long as you're creative in the bedroom and can still follow directions he'll eat anything you cook and lie about loving it.

Cook something romantic, but something to spice up the evening, or do something that he likes.
Best of luck

ask what is his favorite food, make him to do it, learn and try to improve by making it to your special touch.

hopefully he is a meat and potato man, serve him a broiled steak, baked potato or mashed
corn and garlic bread

Steak, chips n peas...........served naked...with a beer!

LASAGNE FOR LOVERS - buy the pre-cooked noodles so you don't have to make them yourself because they can be a real pain. When you do your sauce, pick Classico Tomato & Basil, or a similar brand with the same flavor - and then I would buy one pound of hamburger and one pound of ground italian sausage - hot or mild depending on your man. Brown half of each seperately, drain the meat, stir them together with the sauce and let the sauce simmer on low. The two meats will be AWESOME in the sauce that will smother your lasagne. You will find the directions on how to make the ricotta cheese mixture - super easy - on the back of the lasagne box. Make a salad and toss in a few vegetables. If you both drink, get a bottle of Cabernet Sauv. or Merlot. You can also buy garlic bread - guys love all those carbs. Bon Appetite!

Follow a simple dish or two that you like and have made before. This will relax you so that you can be creative in other ways. Make the presentation very special. Examples: Flower petals on the table, candles, good music. Make the plate of food look beautiful by adding pretty cuts of fruit or vegetable. Borrow or bring out the good china.

Good luck and enjoy.

This recipe is a sure keeper. Try Basa Fillets. Season well with Old Bay seasoning on top side of fillet only, squirt lemon juice on top, sprinkle a little crused red peppers on top of fillets, slice some "butter" squares on top of fillets, cover with foil, slit the top of foil about 4-5 times in different places, and bake at 350 for about 20 mins. Very tasty. Don't forget to add a thin layer of water in foiled pan before placing fillets in 13x9 pan. Sides with fillets: Caesar Salad, garlic flavoring w/balsamic Vinegar (vinegar bought as a separate item by the condiments in most stores), added in. A fully loaded back potato (microwave till almost soft, then bake rest of the way-speeds up cooking time). Finally, garlic cheese bread and ice tea. Yum. I fixed that meal for many occasions and people just keep coming back for more. Good Luck.
