Can they do that?!

Question:

Can they do that?

In school I calculated how many calories I was suppose to be eating. That ended up being 2000. Then I had to keep track of what I was eating for 1 day and then go back to school and see how many calories I ate. I ended up eating 1277. My teacher starts bawling me out saying that I'm not eating enough and I need to be eating more. I was wondering if teachers could actually yell at you for not eating enough? Is it really their business? I mean I only calculated my calories for 1 freakin' day!!!

Answers:
Your teacher sounds like a grade A nimrod. It's your business and your hardly undernourished. Some people can't help but butt into other people's business. Losers! Next time deal with it by telling her (him?) you took their advice and ended up eating 5,000 calories and threw up violently for hours. And your supposed to eat a good healthy diet. One that is adequate to sustain good health and maintain a good body weight. There is no set number of calories to hit. Everyone is different. Pro body builders eat more than twice the average person and they are healthy. If that diet is right for you and your eating healthy then stick with it. I hate buttinskis! Sorry you have one in your life. Tell her what she wants to hear next time and eat what you want.

well maybe they are very passionate about nutrition

She was probably worried about you - But you're right, you can't jump to conclusions based on one days eating.

Personally I think that she was way out of line and you should just say OK I'll eat more to avoid conflict but in any one day u could end up way over or way under your calories as long as it ends up even at the end of the week I don't see how it could be that damaging. Her getting upset can show that she cares though, I wouldn't b to mad.

Maybe she's worried you have an eating disorder.
