I don't know about you but my grandparents love it when I put my time and energy into their gifts instead of buying them something i think that when it comes to food it wouldn't really matter but u can show you really care by making a dessert to take with if u decide to go.
Well here in spain , I′m watching my fiance and his friends celebrate that Real Madrid ( soccer team in spain) are still at 1 in the spanish league. Which means that in a few minutes, we′ll go out to dinner ( its midnight here) and go out for some drinks...

if you have the time and the skills, you should opt for making dinner. I've made special birthday dinners before and it makes me happy to do, and everyone loves a homemade gift such as a nice juicy steak. going to a restaurant seems a bit impersonal.
