Surprise Party Help!?!

Question: Surprise Party Help!!?
Hey everyone

My 8th grade teacher is retiring this year, and she is one of the best teachers out there!
So me and a couple of friends are planning on hosting a surprise retirement party for her!.
So far, we're collecting money from everyone to help buy food, gifts, drinks and party supplies
We already got a gift!.!.!.a giant cribbage board cuz she's a cribbage fanatic

And we're planning on doing a slidehsow, and a mini play as some special preformances for the party

FYI- She's a math FANATIC and as i said before, she's a cribbage fan

I just wanted to ask everyone for any other ideas of games/ presentations we could do for that party

THANKS!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are an amazing class to do that for your teach, she is NEVER going to forget that you did this for her and it's going to mean a lot to her!. You guys are really sweet for doing this!

Another thing you can do for her, being you sound like such a special class, everyone take a picture of yourselves, and write something to her and put it in a book!. Like a scrapbook!. Each student take one picture of themselves either alone or with her, and then on one side of the page is the picture and the other side is something written by that student to the teacher about what you've learned from her or to thank her, etc!. She would love to have something that like to remember you all by and it would mean a lot to her, it is something she could look back on for years!. You can get one of those 4x6 photo albums and do it that way, or make a scrapbook, but I think something like that would mean a lot to her!.

For games, you can play charades, you can play 'who said it" if you can remember who said what and say some quotes if you can remember some things that were said during class and by who!.

You could also find out from the principal if you can invite her husband and children if she's married and has a family and ask them to come to the party if you'd like having them there!. I'm sure you have parents and other people helping you out to put this together, and if so, they can talk to someone about getting in touch with her family and bringing them in to surprise her at the party!. You guys can have them waiting in the office or something and then bring them in and surprise her with them!. Unless you want this to just be you as a class and her!.

If you do bring in her family, you can play kind of a this is your life and then bring in her family!. Or just tell her you have a surprise for her and bring them in!. She would never expect to see her family at her classroom!.

I hope some of these ideas help!. You really are a great class to do this for her, she is going to love it and it's going to mean a lot to her!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wow, that's a pretty big coverage you have there!. The only other thing I can think to do is give her a "this is your life" scenario, where individual students stand behind a sheet and tell her things that might remind her who they are!. Wether or not she can guess, they come out, hug her, and thank her for her contribution as a teacher!. Obviously only get people who love this woman, not punks!. ;)

As a gift, give her one of something per year she worked!. If she worked 30 years, give her 30 roses, or a $30 spa gift certificate, or something of the like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wow - what a great guy - it sounds like you've got a pretty good party going already! Jamie had some great ideas, so I'll just add on!.!.!.If someone has a camcorder or video skills, you might consider doing a video with each of your classmates and you sharing a special thought or memory of your teacher!. (do this before hand, so everyone has there own minute or two to say something)Then give it to her when the party is over! That would be really touching and something that she could keep and look back on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
