First, take a deep breath! It's going to be fine! Whatever you do, your mom is going to love because you did it for her!

You can decorate with balloons and streamers!. Do it in her favorite colors!. If she doesn't have any favorite colors, just do it in two or three colors and cluster them around the party, then match those colors in the tablecloths, napkins, etc!. Get paper plates, plastic knives forks, etc!.

Make sure to get sugar, milk, and condiments for the coffee, tea and food!. Salt and pepper, etc!. For food you can do a bbq, or a pasta dish, chicken dish, salad, etc!.

For the booze, you can always tell people when they rsvp or you can call them and ask them!. I'm sure a lot of them are family and they'll understand!. Give them a call and ask them, they'll be fine and have no problems with it!

You can have small vases of flowers set up for centerpieces, or if she has any hobbies, do it in the theme of her hobby!. My mom loves the casino, so I did her party one year in a casino theme, dice, cards, etc!. If your mom has something she likes to do or somewhere she likes to go, go with that and decorate around that theme and use that for the colors and decorations, etc!.

You can do a small speech/toast wishing her a Happy Birthday and saying whatever you want, say what comes from your heart and thanking your guests for coming!.

I'm sure most of the night is going to take care of itself with people talking and socializing, etc!.

Make sure to get a cake, have drinks, soda, coffee tea, milk, cake and dinner plates, napkins, etc,

I hope this helps and I'm sure all will go well! I'm sure your mom will have a great time!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I recently had a surprise party for my sister who was 55!. For some fun, silly entertainment we had things she liked to play with as a kid, and the guests all had fun with it!. We had a hula hoop, a Cootie game, silly putty, a slinky, Go Fish cards!.
You could ask your grandparents what she liked to play with and pick up a few things!. If you could find out what songs were popular when she was in high school you could play them, and bring back memories for her!. The important thing is to relax and just enjoy the day with her!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Too bad you forgot to add in the BYOB!. We just got an invite for a 50th surprise and it said Beer provided or BYOB!.

Anyway, it's too late to do anything about that, your guest will just have to drink what you're providing, I assume you were providing non alcoholic drinks anyway!.

It might be fun to make some big posters of different pictures of your mom and family for guests to look at if you have somewhere to hang them!.

what are you planning on serving!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Download some music & make some cds to play during the party!. Hang up some party lights or paper lanterns!. Make some sangria or margaritas!. If you haven't planned your menu yet, you could think about a theme!. You could do a luau or a fiesta!. Set up everything buffet style & have people serve themselves!. You can try allrecipies!.com for some recipies!. If your mom's not really a party person, try to make it very casual and relaxed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fun casino hire or a poker party are great fun!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
