Salad is (yawn) fine, but why not try a bag of frozen Tuscan vegetables sauteed in olive oil with a little garlic & basil, or (can I mention a brand name here!? Stouffer's makes a Terrific spinach souffle that I always serve with lasagna/spaghetti, sometimes in addition to the Tuscan veg's), and I prefer garlic bread or the numerous varieties of garlic/parmesan, etc!. Texas Toast to bread sticks!. BUT be sure to reserve a little sauce for dipping them, if you go that route!. And have a bottle of red wine, if you're old enough or so inclined!. Recommend: Shiraz, Cabernet or Merlot!. Another good side dish: sauteed portabello mushrooms with a dash of garlic powder & a smidgen of salt & pepper, in olive oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you do a lasagna you want something that is a little more than basic to serve with it!. Try fresh asparagus or artichoke!. The fresh artichoke if you are not familiar with it could turn out to be a bigger task than the lasagna!. You can also find them in cans or jars!. A much easier approach would eggplant or zucchini!. Or maybe a mix of grilled vegetables!. Can't you tell I like to cook!? Hope this will help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

have you ever made it not boiling the noodles!? the night before you want to serve it, put it together just use the noodles right out of the box and the moisture from the cheeses and sauce will make the noodles tender, cover well with plastic wrap, refigerate and then , bake as directed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

An Italian dry red wine will go well with lasagna!. also boil a cauliflower til it is a little soft;not mushy!. Al dente would be good!. Make a sauce of extra virgin olive oil bread crumbs minced garlic and minced anchovies!. Believe me you would noy know that yhis dish contains anchovies!.It's great!. Take 1/2 cup of oilve oil !. Heat it on medium heat!. Stir in two minced garlic cloves and six minced anchovy filets!. to it add two table spoons of fine bread crumbs plus black pepper to taste!. Pour over the boiled cauliflower!.Slice it like a pie and serve!. My wife cringes at the mention of anchovies!. One day I fixed this for myself!. As I was eating my wife asked for some!.I did not tell her what was in it until after she ate it!. Now she's nuts about it!. Bueno AppetitoWww@FoodAQ@Com
