How do you know when to stop having big birtday bashes?
I prefer just to go to the movies or the mall with my friends, but I turn 16 in september and Sweet 16 is supposed to be a big deal. I don't like having huge parties. Is that normal?
Answers:
My twin sister and I didn't even have a birthday party when we turned 16. It really doesn't matter whether you have a party or not. Just do what you want.
I stopped having big birthdays when I was around 16, there really isn't a point to them. Well that's how I feel about them.
you are growing up! i stopped have big birthday bashes when i woke up with a headache because that means you are getting old.
well yah it is
i dont really like BIG birthday parties
i only like parties that invites 7-10 people.
yup its normal
Most ppl prefer small intimate gatherings.
Totally your personal preference, I think. Some people love big parties on their birthdays and some don't. I don't myself, and I think going to the mall or a movie with friends is a great thing to do. You should do something that pleases you after all - it IS your birthday after all! Let the people who like big bashes have them. Doesn't matter if it's a 'landmark' age or not - it's your day!
Sweet 16 ain't really that big of a deal, not much changes. You can have birthday bashes as long as you want. When it starts taking more than a day to recuperate, then you might want to think about not having them. LoL!!
Totally normal!!I am the same way!!I only like to have like three of my close friends on my birthday!!!
My 16 YO G.D. only has one word sentences to share with me.
I used MY BD to kick off a BBQ pot luck that went to heII fast never tried it again It worked fine when the children were little 1970's and we were (dirt) camping out for the opening of fishing season.
When you get so drunk, you can no longer spell "birthday," I suppose.
Hi Broadway,
Make it a special birthday-as they say Sweet 16.
I got a limo for my daughter & her closest friends, had a hotel party-swimming, hot tubing, socializing, I even got gift bags put make up, candy, hair things, magazines, pens & pencil sets (had each girls name engraved on them & the date to remember the occasion), heluim balloons so we could all chat like chipmunks but then again my daughter's golden birthday isn't until she's 31 then it's Halloween. Besides you are never to old to celebrate cause then again there's over the hill birthday bashes. Yes it's normal so need need to fret. I'd say Invite a few of your closest friends & do what you wanna do. Happy Sweet 16th birthday & have a great day. :0)
Go for it girl
spread your wings
ur 16 its your chance to shine
have a rockin partay
Your parent will love you even more if you tell them you do not want then to throw a big party...lol
well i didn't think it was big deal to have "BIG" birthday parties either around that age..
But now only a couple of years later...i want every birthday party of mine to be BIG from here on out.
If you have great friends and family the memories are sooo....worth it. [I'm not talking MTv Sweet Sixteen Style either...that's wayyyy to silly]
ALWAYS do it up as much as you can (that doesn't mean the "fanciest dinner or anything like that" If you like going to the mall shop some, get some mani's & pedis with ur closest friends choose a movie YOU and ur closest buds like Have the theater reserve that room for you and ur guest and invite all ur friends, ur cousins ect.... have some balloons and cake their and voila SIMPLE yet memorable.0
Whatever makes you happy.
HaPpY EARLY BiRtHdAy!!!!!!!
