Question:

Ideas for a 60+ people party that lasts 11 hours?

I'm having a BIG party and i need ideas for things to rent and do that doesnt totally empty the bank account...i was thinking of inflateables and any other ideas would be great!

Answers:
inflatbles would be good. you could also buy a bunch of balloons and make water balloons. ask around to see if there are any affordable horses around so that people could ride it. or if you know someone with horses ask them if you could use them for a reasonable fee. hula hoops are always fun so i would stock up on them. you could also get sacks and have a sack race. buy bandannas so you could have three legged race. buy bubbles if there are kids coming those always entertain. croquet is always great for outside. provide all sorts of sports equipment such as soccer balls, footballs, etc. if you think your guests would be up for it try making a football tournament where you split the people into groups with 60 people i would make 10 people on a team so you would have six people teams total. have different mini fields and have the teams play against eachother then after about 10 minutes take the scores and then rotate the teams...i'm guessing you will have enough room for this if your having inflateables if you don't want to do football do soccer. or you could just have a huge softball game. you could also have a scavenger kind of hunt. most important have fun!

11 hour? Is this a sleep over? Because if it's not, it's going to be hard to enterain for 11 hours...

Music, refreshment, and room to mingle are the most important things. With that many people you'll have partygoers who can help entertain. Maybe a DJ? Be creative and have a theme. This will give something for people to start talking about. Once it gets started, the part will roll itself for a while.
11 hours is a long time. Maybe get someone who can teach line dancing or something? That an buffets is what they do on cruise ships. ;)

organize and lay out some kind of itiniary. Keep in mind, people can only do so much drinking and eating. I was in the entertainment business for over 10 years and it has been my experience that when a party exceeds 5 hours things get tricky.
I reccomend a non alchohol 2 hour brunch to start off with, low key instrumnetal back ground music. Followed up with something related to the purpose of the party (ceremony, speech, awards, etc) 1 hout
follow up with done cocktail hour 90 minutes
dancing and party music 90 minutes
sit down dinner 90 minutes
dancing 1 hour
karaoke 90 minutes
dessert 1 hour
dancing1 hour
If your budget allows perhaps an hour to 75 minutes of magic or comedey or some other type of entertainment.
Hire yourself some good interactive entertainment, 11 hours is a long time consider to cut back to 8 hours. It is better for people to leave your party on a up note and a good feeling rather than letting the thing fizzle out

I am not sure the age group for your party but I am assuming it isn't for little ones because they will never make it if it is 11hours but if it is I would do a carnival style party

Older...
The best idea is to set it up like Vegas...make it a casino w/ a show and maybe a buffet

Best of luck some more information would have helped a little bit more so hope this helps.

For an 11 hour party the only thing I can think of is make sure you schedule nap time because even adults will be tired after 11 hours of fun.
You might want to reconsider. I would never throw a party for more than 3 - 4 hours. People don't want their time tied up for that long no matter how much fun it is.

*playlist on your/a friends ipod
*If you have a pool you could buy cheap rafts and such from target/wal mart
*Your biggest room/area to mingle and dance
*Since alot opf people are coming this should be entertaining enough (talking and such)

Hope It helped!

That is a really long party! I am assuming that it will start mid morning and go well into the evening. There are a few things to consider, I don't think that most people will stay at a party for 11 hours.

This is also not enough info. Where are you having the party, when is it, etc. Can we get more details?
