What would you call a drinking establishment that doesn't serve food?!
I've been brain storming on the type of establishment I would open, and when you bring food into the mix, it adds a million extra worries!. Say I wanted to open an establishment where drinks are served, and sports are on the tele, or PPV fights or what have you!.!.!.
Or am I just trying to mix a club with a bar!?

Discotheques in Latin America do this!. The club will have a big dance floor, have tall tables and stools around the outside of the dance floor, and just serve drinks!. They charge for the alcoholic drinks and the person who is the designated driver gets a special wrist band and gets free sodas or other non-alcoholic drinks!.
If you want to do food and not complicate things, sell only prepackaged foods: gourmet cookies, individual packs of peanuts or chips, candies, churros, etc!. These things can fill the tummies of those who have a hard time holding their liquor!.
People will not stick around and watch a game on the tele if there is no food!. Food brings people!. Who has ever been to a Super Bowl party that had no food!? I would at least serve appetizers at a sports bar, even if they are the kind you have to heat in the microwave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could call it a Sports Bar!. I would think as long as you have a liquor license you can call it whatever you like - except a restaurant!. But, people might like to have a nibble/food/snacks with their drinks!. You might talk to local bar managers or owners in your area & find out more details, i!.e!. what licenses etc!. you need!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A bar would serve liquor, and may or may not serve food !.!.!.!. A club would need a dance floor, with liquor and should have some food !.!.!.!.!.obviously, a pool hall needs pool tables! !.!.!.!.!.You need to check your local laws regarding zoning & licensing for liquor, food, dancing, etc!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
