I'VE GOT IT!!! A fish themed birthday party!!!! But any ideas to make it fun? For the cake?!

Question: I'VE GOT IT!!! A fish themed birthday party!!!! But any ideas to make it fun!? For the cake!?
I'm throwing a party for an 11 yr old turning 12!. She loves fish!. We live near a beach so we're planning on going to the beach!. The theme is fish, because she's inviting a mix of tomboys/girly girls and fish is kind of in between!. For a table setting, we'll have a light blue table cloth with a small fishbowl with some feeder fish in it for a center piece and maybe some other small fish bowls around the yard!. She's allergic to wheat so for dinner we're going to have grilled garlic shrimp!. I have no idea what to do for the cake, though, or what to do for games (something with water balloons would be fun)!. Any ideas for a wheat free cake with a fish theme!? She likes ice cream, if it helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
if you are a "crafty" type person you can make your own ice cream cake in the shape of a fish!. when i can't find a cake pan in the shap that i want, i use aluminum foil and card board strips with a regular 9x13 cake pan!. just fold the cardboard into a few triangles and wrap them in foil then place them in the pan:

BEST "PAN" DIAGRAM I CAN DO HERE, LOL!

ok, I'm sorry, I know that doesn't look very good, but I hope you get the idea, lol!.

As far as MAKING the ice cream cake goes, it is fairly simple!. Remember, the BOTTOM of you pan will be the TOP of your cake, so, before you do ANYTHING (including the foil and cardboard), you may want to line the bottom of the pan with wax paper (so you can get the ice cream out easier later)!. put in your cardbaord and foil!. Use additional foil (kind of balled up) to fill in the extra little bit if you'd like!. Soften your vanilla ice cream just enough to work with it, then spoon it into the bottom of the cake pan, spreading it and pressing it in with a plastic spatula!. Freeze until solid!. Now that is a VERY basic ice cream cake!. If you want to do any type of filling, etc (chocolate sauce, "cold" hot fudge, candies (reece's pieces, etc!.!.!.) then only fill the pan 1/2 way, put in a layer of the filling, freeze until solid, then finish filling the rest of the pan with ice cream!. When you use "fillings" you need to make sure that you press ice cream up the sides of the pan a little ways all the way around so that when you pull the cake from the pan and look at it from the side, all you see is ice cream (basically making a big" cup" for the filling)!. after you have the pan filled with ice cream and it has set, you will need to scrape off any ice cream that is above the top of the pan!. (if you have a very long frosting knife you can use that!. if you don't, go back to your handy cardboard and cut off an 18x4 inch strip, wrap it in foil and pull it along the top of the pan lengthwise!. this should smooth it out)

freeze until solid!. to ease with the removal of the cake from the pan, turn the cakepan over onto a "cakeboard" (cardboard stores use to place cakes on) or even a very clean cookiesheet then use a towel run under VERY warm water to wipe the edge of the pan (it wil lsoften the very edges of the ice cream and it should slide right out!.)
refreeze then decorate how ever you'd like!.

ok, so i know it SOUNDS like a lot, but it really isn't hard to do at all, just takes a while to type it out! good luck!
