What goes well with a steak sandwich and potato salad?!
My birthday is coming up and I was going to have a pool party and serve tortas (basically steak sandwiches but I'll have some chicken available as well) and potato salad but I feel like I should serve something else as well!.!.!. any ideas!? I'm Mexican, so even though it's not exactly a theme, everything is going to be Latin inspired, if that spurs any ideas!.!.!.

JICAMA SALAD
2 c!. peeled & diced jicama
1 green pepper, seeded & diced
1/2 med!. onion, chopped
1 c!. diced cucumber
1/4 c!. olive oil
2 TB!. red or white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp!. oregano
2 tsp!. chopped fresh cilantro
salt & pepper to taste
Combine all veggies!. Combine remaining ingredients and toss!. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving!.!.!.!.!.
Serves 4-8
FRUIT SALAD
Usually, I like citrus fruit with Mexican food, so you could just cut up oranges, pineapple, mango & papaya !.!.!. or !.!.!. hollow out 1/2 watermelon and refill with the cubed melon, strawberries & pineapple
For your cake, you might want to get a "cupcake cake"!. Kroger has them, and your local grocery bakery should too!. It's cupcakes pushed together and frosted as one cake on top (any theme)!. Much easier to serve and eat:)Www@FoodAQ@Com
