Is sushi a good alternative to the traditional turkey dinner at Thanksgiving?!

Question:

Is sushi a good alternative to the traditional turkey dinner at Thanksgiving?

Answers:
well.................i'd prefer turky but as long as everyone eats it and enjoys it, that would be fine.

Thanks giving is when we are suppose to be happy with what we have. We should thank God for that so as long as your family is thanking God for the food that they have now, from Turky to Sushi to FRIES! i know it would be Okay

sure, if the people you have having Thanksgiving dinner with like sushi.

If you know everyone will like it, go right ahead. I'd probably want a variety of other dishes since there's only one type of sushi I eat. Gotta give people some choices.

It's only a good solution if you're guests all like sushi.

If that's what you want. There is no law (yet) stating you must eat turkey.

no... sushi couldn't replace turkey ... thats just wrong.. thanksgiving isn;t the same without turkey!!

Sure it is. We don't always do the whole Turkey dinner. Sometimes we have the Thanksgiving pizza or meatloaf :)

Why not? Sushi is delicious, expensive, and unique. People should appreciate you serving it.

I think the traditional meal is Turkey, as the Pilgrims and Indians ate that at the first Thanksgiving, that is why thousands even millions of Turkeys are made up for dinner on Thanksgiving.
It is an American Tradition, History.
Now Christmas dinner is a variable dinner. I would make sure all your guests are good with Sushi.....If you were related to me, I'd have to pass, been there, tried it, no thanks.

Thanksgiving is what you make it....I don't like turkey. Sometimes we have a combination of many things. Seafood, pasta or whatever. This year it might be Ceviche, which is almost like sushi but naturally cooked in lemon juice.

As much as I love sushi, and I LOVE sushi, I don't think so. Unless you want something different or have conventional Japanese relatives coming over, then I say go for it. But why are you thinking about Thanksgiving so early? It isn't even Halloween yet.

sushi is better deep fried

not good but a gr8 alternative . make sushis using many different veggies with different colours 2 make it llok more attractive

We don't have Thanksgiving in England, but Christmas Day is our traditional foody blow-out day. Over here, we traditionally have turkey or chicken for Xmas, but some traditional alternatives are Baked Ham (with apple sauce) Salmon en croute, or you might like to make a big casserole, or a pie. Hope that helps.
