Having recently attended a purse party, here are a few quick and simple ideas. Cheese & crackers, fruit tray and a couple different types of softdrinks, (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite). Easy with not alot of preperation time.

You want to sell. Get them drunk. Forget the food just have plenty of vodka on hand.

go to the dollar store and buy some mints or chocolate,u can also mix punch with ginger ale

Can't go wrong with hot spinach and artichoke dip serve with tortilla chips and salsa.

can't beat cheese and crackers
and margaritas!

Hot pockets, piroshkis, raviolis, waffles, pot stickers, burritos, calzones, and won tons.

For drinks, gin, gin, vodka, and more gin! tf

PROSCIUTTO PURSES
1 medium cantaloupe (about 3 pounds)
1 medium honeydew (about 3 pounds)
1 1/2 pounds thinly sliced prosciutto (about 36 slices)
2 bunches fresh chives, blanch 36 and save remaining for garnish

Working with 1 melon at a time, cut in 1/2. Gently scrape out seeds and membrane and discard. Using a melon baller, scoop out rounds from flesh and place in large bowl. Discard skin.
Keep the prosciutto loosely covered with plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out as you start to assemble 1 purse at a time. Place 1 melon ball in the center of a prosciutto slice, gather all sides to the top and secure with a blanched chive. It may be necessary to overlap a few pieces of prosciutto in order to completely wrap the melon ball. Place finished purse, seam side down onto a baking sheet and keep covered. Repeat with remaining prosciutto and melons. Can make it only up to 2 hours ahead of time because the salt in the prosciutto will break down the melon.

BANANA PURSES
Nonstick vegetable cooking spray
3 bananas, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 cup maple flavored pancake syrup
1 package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons whole milk

Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 400 degrees.
Line a heavy large cookie sheet with foil. Spray foil with nonstick spray. In a medium bowl combine bananas and syrup. Mash bananas slightly with a fork. On a clean surface, lay flat 1 sheet of puff pastry. Cut pastry in 1/2 lengthwise. Using a rolling pin, roll out each pastry sheet into a 15 by 5-inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle crosswise into thirds, forming 6 squares total. Evenly distribute 1/2 of the banana mixture onto center of each square. Fold corners of pastry into center and pinch ends together, twisting to seal. Repeat with remaining sheet of puff pastry and banana mixture. Arrange pastries on prepared cookie sheet. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Brush pastries with milk. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar over pastries. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.

CHOCOLATE PHYLLO PURSES
6 sheets phyllo dough
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups raspberries
2 tablespoons framboise, raspberry or other liqueur
2 tablespoons water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
On a work surface lay out 3 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing lightly with butter in between sheets. Cut stacked sheets into four squares. Place 1-ounce of chocolate in the center of each square. Gather the four corners of the phyllo square up around the chocolate and twist together to form a "purse". Repeat process for each square and then the remaining phyllo sheets and chocolate. Transfer the purses to a baking sheet. Brush purses with remaining butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

In a blender combine the raspberries, liqueur, and water and process until smooth. Add additional water, if necessary, to achieve desired consistency. Pass the puree through a sieve to remove the seeds.

Serve the phyllo purses warm with the raspberry puree.

Margaritas or Mojitos Maybe with some Quesadillas.

pasta salad and deviled eggs chips and guacamole or salsa, salad cheese and crackers and cheese tray, cold shrimp. Chicken nuggets chickfale has a tray thing of them, mini cupcakes,

Fresh fruit, pigs in a blanket, cheese cubes with toothpick inside, wings, crackers with dip? Baby crunchy pickles, olives, boneless bufflo wings, some kinda fruit punch is always good and refreshing.

Potstickers, taquitos, chicken wings, meat tray w/toast
Margaritas, Spiked punch, wine

Cookies and iced tea

OK, I'll bite...........What's a purse party? It's a home party selling purses, and you get free stuff for having it in your home?
If that's what it is.....don't serve any snacks at all. Those greasy fingers will get on the purses. Serve a nice punch, laced with champaigne or vodka or rum.

OR: make a 1 layer sheet cake or buy one from the local bakery or grocery store, cut it into 1 inch pieces and dip in melted chocolate (can be called petit fours), serve with 1 chocolate dipped strawberry either on top or on the side and a cup of coffee or a spiced tea.

Maybe
mini-egg rolls
cut strawberries with raspberry yogurt
from the freezer case of the grocery store-cream puffs
ham and cheese quiche-easier to make than you think. Here's a super easy recipe that might be worth making because the ingredients are cheap.

1 1/2 cup grated cheddar
1 cup diced ham
1 pie crust
3 large eggs
1 cup half and half
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard (I use regular mustard)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oven 375. Mix all ingredients. Pour in pie crust. Bake for 45 minutes, or until firm and browned. Center will be puffy.

With the quiche salad, or fruit.

When people are eating and happy they will buy more. :)

If it's only going to be a 1 hour party I would highly suggest just having mini pastries and butter cookies. People won't be expecting that much. Serve tea and coffee with some flavored creamers. If you want to serve alcohol try a semi sweet. I am not a big fan of dessert wines, but the semi sweets work well.

1 hour party??? My purse parties last 2-3 hours. I would ask your consultant she should have good ideas of what people usually serve. If your purse party has the replicas be careful. It's a federal offense to buy and sell them and if it's at your house you could go to jail.
