For sure Grandma's, and Mom's kitchens are the best places to learn, and if they can't cook, if you are able to read, which obviously you are, grab some cook books, turn on The Food Network and start cooking. I think that because you have the ambition you will make a great cook. Also there are loads of cook books in the library, and recipes in the paper. One more thing is you can ask you Home Economics Teacher about some places that are available for free cooking lessons for Teens. Happy cooking.

In Texas - we have County Extension Agents - who usually have all sorts of cooking/food and nutrition events. You might try joining 4-H club or Girl Scouts. Contact your County Extension AGent first though.
