If you kept your mouth closed it would eventually overflow in your mouth because of the carbonated stuff. Try dropping a Mentos into a Coke ands thats what would happen in your mouth if you did that.
Mentos works even better with Barq's Root Beer for that extra creamy fizz
Coke does not make an explosion, unlike the brother Diet Coke which leaves with an "explosion"
