We're going to a drive-in movie friday night. A first for both of us. I thought it would be pretty cool of me to pack us a picnic dinner. But I have no idea what kind of food to bring.

Answers:
Definetly some champagne, strawberries and food which you can feed him to his mouth. Nothing greasy which can spoil the mood. Try some nice crackers with cheese, some strawberries covered in chocolate, some wine or champagne, something classy, romantic and special, it doesn't have to be expensive. Avoid the burritos, doritos and such for obvious reasons!!!!

guys like things like ribs, chips, soda , or just some sandwiches
but it does not matter because he will like you for who you are not what food you bring

fried chicken, or fined out what he likes to eat

sandwiches, soda, chips. Don't forget paper plates, napkins.

I am assuming it is eats for while you are watching your drive thru movie?
You should do a entire drive thru/diner theme; have
some All American Burgers wrapped in the checker paper w/ really thin long sting fries or tots in cute checker box.
You could make some mini brownie squares for dessert. A total drive thru box meal that is so All American. You could get those old fashion glass bottle sodas. Ask your grocer if you can't locate
Sounds like a ton of fun...report back and let us know what you decided to do and how it went.

The one you prepare yourself. And it would help if it is delicious. Bring something to drink, too (soft drinks and water).

Assuming you have already had dinner before the movie I would suggest you make something light like bread rolls but with a yummy fillings,
Take a slice of sandwich bread and remove crusts. Add a filling and roll up from corner to corner.
Fillings to consider would be:-
Asparagus Spears.
Shredded Chicken.
Seafood Sticks.

Fruit Tarts,
Muffins
Scones

Drinks, anything non alcoholic for one of you will have to drive.

I like Omo's and Jwl's answers but practicality says go with Jwl's for a drive-in and have a great time.
