Any suggestions of things that i can have at my bbq for the kids to do?!

Question:

Any suggestions of things that i can have at my bbq for the kids to do?

looking for like little things that arent too expensive (looking to entertain the kids and keep them busy without spending too much) i do have a pool and a little back yard

Answers:
perhaps they can finger paint or color
or get sidewalk chalk they can play hop scotch
the pool will be great for them if very hot
perhaps they can play hot potatoe or musical chairs for a bit of fun
have them blow up balloons..kids always find fun things to do with the balloons...draw faces on them.....put string on and let them hold like a kite,
go to dollar shop and buy a few kites they can hopefully have fun with that in the backyard...or park nearby for a bit.
Enjoy the bbq*

I just had a bbq and the kids rode bikes. the older ones (teens Sat around listening to music.) The girls liked to color.

buy play -doh , every little kid likes it and they can be very creative, i think they sell play-doh at the dollar store if you dont want to spend a lot of money:)

Go out and buy a slip n' slide. These may be a little more money then you want to spend, but the kids love them. Or maybe you can get a moonwalk. People in my neighborhood rent those out for BBQs that we have had and it keeps the kids entertained.

Hope this has helped and that I wasn't a burden.

um we have bbq's all the time: lawn jarts (its like darts but in the grass), a pool (even like a kiddy pool), pin the tail on the donkey, a trampoline, hide and seek, water guns, a camp fire with smores. vertually anything interactive will keep kids busy.

Slip and slide...egg toss...bubbles...have an icecream bar where you make cups of cones of ice cream and let them dress them up liike they want to. Good luck.

blowing bubbles
drawing w/ sidewalk chalk
playing hopscotch (see chalk)
making necklaces out of licorice strips and cheerios/froot loops/apple jacks

water balloons, pinata, bingo with small prizes, hide and seek, treasure hunt.

This site has some very inexpensive kits that the kids could construct at a craft table.
