What do you like? You can have the theme be your favorite movie or TV show like Spiderman or Spongebob. If you don't want to do that, you could just make the theme your favorite colors. For example, if you like the colors blue and green, you can get everything in blue and green: balloons, plates, napkins, cake, ect. Hawaiian would be nice too.
a good theme is hawaiin, it is relaxed and you can't rele dress wrong. Also you can find decorations almost anywhere.
another good theme is a color party. you tell everyone to where a certain color. It is really cool if you have everthing (and i mean from cups to cake to napkins to people) the same color!

For my party I had an 80s theme. We all dressed in 80s clothes and i had a jumper. A 60s theme would be fun too. If you have a pool, a hawaii theme would work well. You could also do a hollywood theme. you could have disposable cameras everywhere so people could take pictures randomly while at the party. =]
Pirates: Everyone can show up in pirate-like clothing, you can have the invitations look aged by staining it with coffee and sent in a bottle. Have a trivia game where the loser has to "walk the plank" like jump in the pool or be hosed down.
Hawaiin: Flowery necklaces all around, shorts, hawaiian t-shirts, and sandals. You can have dance contests in coconut bras and grass skirts, also limbo contests.
80's Style: Big hair, tons of bangles, off the shoulder shirts, skirts over tights and funky earrings! You can make a mix cd with 80's music and make a little trivia quiz, whoever guesses the artist or song correctly gets a prize. You can watch cheesy 80's movies and give out different color, huge sunglasses as party favors.
