Brownies, Chocolate Chip or Sugar Cookies, Watermelon
If you want to get fancier.. Cake or Apple Pie
If you ask me, finger foods are best at a BBQ/Picnic
cupcakes
Watermelon!
Fruit salad, like melon balls or something like that.
ice cream.
Cupcakes or cookies. I'd actually prefer ice cream but keeping it cold might be a problem.
does'nt brownies have something 2 do with the girl scout's
Strawberry Cheesecake
Homemade ice cream..best dessert ever..every one could make their own..1cup whole milk, 2cups cream
3/4 cup sugar 1-2 tsp vanilla.
Put 1/2 -1 cup of ingredients into quart size zip lock bag.
Put filled and sealed quart bag into 1 gallon zip lock bag, fill with crushed ice and ice cream salt, seal bag, toss, squish etc. until cream is frozen. add nuts, M&ms, strawberries, etc if desired..you need hand towels or gloves to keep your hands from freezing. Open ice cream bag, eat with spoon and enjoy.
Maybe Samoa ice cream, to keep with the Girl Scout theme? Or are Girl Scouts pretty much sick of those cookies by now?
Edit: The brand I know of is called Dreyer's. I think it's called Eddy's in other markets around the country. They also do Thin Mint and Tagalog ice cream.
Definately dumplings, golden syrup ones preferably. Easy to make, easier to eat.
S'mores!!!!
Maybe an ice cream cake. Lemon meringue or apple pie a la mode. Strawberry shortcake is nice and light though. I guess many people would probably like a light dessert after heavy bbq food.
Chocolate cake would work for me.
ice cream sundaes....you can provide the ingredients and let the girls make their own
If I were there I'd want strawberry shortcake.
Since I won't be there, I'll suggest s'mores, or cupcakes, or ice cream if you'll be able to keep it frozen, or fresh fruit kabobs with yogurt dip.
How about veggie kebabs with yogurt dip. YUMMY and healthful! You can make it look really pretty by sticking the kebabs and yogurt dip in the rinds of the fruit you use.
Homemade ice cream sandwiches. They can have fun making them too.
Bake up the raw cookie dough in advance and store in a container. Allow the ice cream to soften so it's scoopable. You can mix it up with different flavors of cookies and ice creams.
...and don't forget the sprinkles for the sides! : )
