Question: I just had a brainstorm idea! I was planning a weekend BBQ and started getting carried away with ideas when I!?
remembered that my son is getting married in early Sept!. and I'm hosting a rehearsal dinner!. I got the idea of having a Tuscan themed outdoor dinner, slightly casual, family style!. Have you ever done that!? Any ideas!? We have a beautiful grape arbor to sit under!. Maybe cheese plates, breads, fruits, wines!. Do you think a pasta meal or perhaps something grilled!? What about lobster!? I know it doesn't sound Tuscan but we live in the north east near the ocean and some family guests will be traveling from the pacific coast!. There's nothing like fresh Maine lobster!? Come on! Give me some great suggestions and ideas please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You've got some great ideas!. I love family style service just be sure you have enough serving platters and serving utensils!. The lobster sounds divine and is a real treat for many people!. You could also do a pasta with mussels and perhaps sausages and peppers for the guests who don't like seafood!. Depending on the guests you might also offer a grilled vegetable marinara for vegetarians!. Some bread, fruits, wine and cheeses with olives and artichokes for a social hour before dinner!. Dessert can feature some in season local fruit like an apple or blueberry cobbler with whipped cream!. Nice music and a chance for people to relax and visit with one another!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

make a lobster pasta dish! best of both worlds then! sounds like a nice time!. rent some long tables to set up under that arbor if you can squeeze it in there- otherwise a long seating table with nice bouquets of Tuscan type flowers like big sunflowers, appetizer dishes scattered in between, linen table cloths and napkins, bowls of draping grapes and fruits, have light Italian type music on in the background!. I can picture it all ready!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I personally would have a lobster roast or boil or whatever you all do up there!. But you could easily turn it tuscan with a cold pasta salad, some baked eggplant with marinara and parmesean, and antipasto

good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com

I suggest you ask the bride-to-be what she wants!. It's her day, not yours!. Your idea is lovely, however!. Maine lobster is good, but will there be enough by then!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
