How to have a romantic, yet fun picnic?!

Question:

How to have a romantic, yet fun picnic?

My boyfriend is coming from out of town, and we haven't seen each other in quite some time. As a surprise, I want to have a picnic waiting for him in out hotel room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:
I think it's really romantic to include things that aren't necessarily romantic in themselves, but that he really likes. For instance, maybe Twinkies are his favorite snack. It would be really thoughtful to include some Twinkies in your basket. And fill the basket with plenty of food and drink so you won't have to leave the hotel room until you want to!

since it is indoors try this it is very romantic.
get an indoor smokeless tabletop grill that cooks with sterno (very cheap to buy) and small enough to tote around

get one chicken breast ,1/2 pound of peeled raw shrimp and 1 small steak, a couple of sliced mushrooms or fresh green beans store in a cooler until ready to eat
slice the steak and chicken in thin slices (marinated is good but optional)
set it on the room table with candles some wine or beverage of choice
when you sit down light the sterno can and place some of each on the grill each only takes like two-three minutes to cook and begin eating and add more as desired.
make chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert
add french bread to your meal as well.

get some dipping sauces for the meats. bbq, honey mustard, ginger etc. terryake

Have all finger foods, things you could feed each other! Strawberries, grapes, pin wheel sandwiches(favourite deli meat, lettuce wrapped in a tortilla and cut into small pieces) cheeses, wine or you could do a fondue picnic. Have blanket on the floor with you basket, flowers, candles...
Enjoy each other!

a shrimp alfredo and luguini meal or asian stir fry

Sweetheart, forget the picnic...if he hasn't seen you in awhile he's not interested in a picnic when he first walks into a hotel room.

Make that a day 3 activity.

Wine, cheese, Italian dry salami, grapes, and crusty bread this makes a great no-cook picnic. And the wine really helps!

Have lots of candles lit, champagne, chocolate-dipped strawberries, mood music, and maybe serve something that's significant for the two of you like something you had on your first date!

no matter what is served... at the very end make strawberry sundaes.... it is unusual and will never be forgotten.. don't forget the cool whip... lol

Put some food that would make it possible to eat and talk at the same time. Then you two go to your favorite spot. If you don't have a spot then pick a spot that has an awesome view of something like the ocean or an overview of a city.
