I would give everyone a book. A book that promoted positive thinking and success. There are many to choose from. Pick the one you like best. I don't know about your new promotion, but if you're going to be in a leadership position, this idea will bring much needed respect from your co-workers, and long lasting too!
Even if you're not in a leadership position, the book will have long-lasting memories.
Edit* Cookies, wine, glasses, and mugs are old hat and not so unique as to be remembered. We've all got them in our cabinets collecting dust.
A cookie with their name on it in frosting.
Homemade fortune cookies with a personalized "fortune" inside (you can buy them and slide a replacement fortune in if you don't want to bake them).
how much do you want to spend? i suggest finding a nice 1/2 bottle of wine. you can some nice ones for a good price. couples will definitely remember when they pop it open.
cheers.
Need more info:
1. Reason for dp
2. How many attending
3. Your budget
A coffee mug but stick in a couple packets of hot chocolate or coffee. Also put a chocolate covered spoon in to stir their drink with. Verrrry cute :-)
Some people find chocolate after dinner to be considered "heavy". What is meant by this, is normally a person is full after eating a big meal, so they don't want something thick like chocolate, making them fill more stuffed. Maybe something like after dinner mints would work. They are considered to be light and refreshing. The flavors are rejuvenating.
Well, not knowing what kind of party makes it difficult, but I recently went to a wedding where the bride & groom had burned cd's of their favorite songs for everyone. That might work, depending on the type of party.
Something with a dollar sign insignia ($) to celebrate your promotion.
A champagne glass filled with foil wrapped coins and a thin ribbon around the stem.
