maybe some singers or bands that were popular then like; MIcheal Jackson LOL, Diran Diran, Madonna, Flock Of Seagulls, or Bee-Gee's Hope that helps if you need other help go to google and search "80's party themes" that might help.

play nothing but music form the 80's and make people dress up like did back in the 80's and have ton's fo candy so people can get wired.
yeah!

Serve some kiwi fruit, croissants, Cajun food, Hagen Daz ice cream. Get the trivial pursuit 80's version or I think scene it has an 80's version too. Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, The Police, Hall & Oates, Prince, and of course Michael were very big. So was the punk look. Get some ideas from the movie Purple Rain on how to dress etc. Have fun. You make me seem so old now. I'll be 42 in a few weeks.

You will need some of Echo and the Bunnymen, Men at Work
Duran Duran, The Replacements, Oingo Boingo, The Chameleons, Talk Talk, Inxs, The Police and a pair of all star sneakers..
