Here's a cake that sounds appropriate for your party. lol
Better than Sex Cake
1 box of white cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
(I have used yellow cake before)
1-14oz can sweetened condensed milk
1-15oz can of cream of coconut
1-20oz can crushed pineapple, well drained
1-12oz cool whip
1- 6oz pkg flaked coconut
1- pkg of Instant French Vanilla Pudding (Optional)
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Prepare cake mix according to pkg directions. Pour batter, into a greased and floured pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until inserted tooth pick comes out clean.
Remove from oven. Pierced holes in top of hot cake with a fork.
Mix sweetened condensed milk and cream of coconut in a small bowl; immediately pour over hot cake.
Let cake cool completely in the pan.
Spread pineapples over cake. Then spread cool whip over pineapples. Sprinkle coconut evenly over cool whip.
Cover and refrigerate over night or until ready to serve.
Sometimes I add a small pkg of Instant French vanilla pudding to the cool whip.Then spread over pineapples.
Or sometimes I combine the pineapples, undrained and instant french vanilla pudding and cool whip together, then spread over cake mixture.
Yummy!
The best snack is Fruit with dip or chocolate covered strawberries.

try serving crackers chips or tortillas served with a variety of dips., you could also go for the not to heavy food like party wings(buffalo wings) bbQ, hot, mild , honey.. catch the drift.served with punch or a mild wine/beer
Depends on whether you want to play it straight or risque. If risque, you could serve frozen bananas, dipped in chocolate, on a stick; flip-side would be tiny cocktail wienies.
If straight, then I've never seen the mexican 7-layer dip (served w/tortilla chips) fail -- in any crowd. Swedish meatballs are also easy if you use the frozen ones (make the sauce w/beef broth and sour cream) -- it keeps well in a crockpot.
Above all, keep it simple and have fun. My guess is that your best "appetizers" will be the wine and the products.
P.S. Given that you will probably serve alcohol, make sure you have something bready or absorbent to help buffer it.
