I am having a Pumpkin Carving Party "PCP"... everyone need to bring a pumpkin... and drink. Making Chicken and Dumplings. Just not sure how to make the invite fun and exciting. Mostly adults with children.. so the party is for both.

We are having a Spooky PCP

Pumpkin Carving Party

Must supply own pumpkin and drink. Will be provided with chicken and dumplings.

Maybe have a picture of a haunted house or jack-o-lantern on the front. I hope this gives you an idea, but I am not too good at invites, just poems.

P lease C ome P eople to our P umpkin C arving P arty!

P urchase C leaverly shaped P umpkin and bring for our contest.

P re-purchase your C onsumable P otables for your family members.

P roviding C hicken P alatable for all Ghouls & Goblins.

Use 'spookey' font and Bold the PCP's.

Have fun!!

I did something similar a few years back. I don't know if your guests are all in your town or if some will be coming from out of state but hand delivering them is fun and exciting for you and your children...Here are a few suggestions I have done in the past for halloween invitations....

Miniature pumpkins with spiraled copper wire in the shape of arms...holding a hand made paper invite...(Hand delivery of course)

Take antiqued parchment paper (you can get it from Office Max) print up your invitation is a really spooky or whimsical font and then burn the edges to make it look old and weathered....tie it off with a black or orange ribbon.

Supply your guests with thier own pumpkin carving set. With a printed paper invitation in an envelope attached to the box. The kits are around a buck at the dollar store.

GOOD LUCK!
