I'm registering for my wedding china...and I want to know what brands are well known and make quality durable china. I'm looking for bone china or stoneware because I heard that is the most durable. Also, I really like to blue and white patterns

The English. I collect bone china tea cups, I have many with an English Hallmark on them. I also collect Wedgewood. It is not bone china, but it is beautiful, and English.
I love my Noritake china. I have both sets from my grandma and mother. They've held up extremely well, except for my move. Even the gold edges are still on them.
I think I know what you're talking about with the blue and white. All I can remember is it's from Holland. I cannot think of the name anymore.
The best China you could possibly buy is made in Luxembourg by a company called Villeroy and Boch!
Go look at there website, the quality and durability are second to none. This is the china that is usually used in top class restaurants. It lasts forever!
