You want it to still be sweet w/o just the vodka flavor. If it doesn't taste like anything but juice, add more vodka, if you can mostly taste the liquor, add a little more juice. It's a smooth drink.

1 shot vodka for every 3 shots of cranberry juice and throw a slice of lime in it. can't go wrong.
