21 on July 3rd...need safe party ideas.?!

Question:

21 on July 3rd...need safe party ideas.?

Okay, I am scared to be going all around for July 3rd and 4th (best friend's bday is on the 4th also). I was trying to come up with party ideas that will keep us safe also. Since I can now legally drink. Should I have a house party or do something else? I don't want to be going all around town since it is a danger because of July 4th and drunk driving is high this time of year. If we do go out, we talked about getting a taxi, to help beating the odds. But that still doesn't mean we are safe since other's drive drunk. I dunno? Any themes for parties or other stuff I can do. Side note: a bunch of my friends aren't yet 21 so its hard to include them. Any ideas on that also? Thanks a head of time. hehe.

Answers:
House parties are safer, but there is still risk. The host can be held legally accountable if any of his guests leave the party and have a drunken mishap. The cab idea is very solid, but could be costly. Were it me, I would do one of two things.
1.) Have a themed house party of some sort.
2.) Find a bar in walking or cheap cab distance and go that route.
As for your underage friends, they may be out of luck if you go to a bar.
Lastly, drink responsibly. It is much more fun(and easier to remember).

You should have a party at home, have a mixed drinks party, you can also make virgin drinks for your friends. Be sure you have plenty of food! Be Safe!

Have a party at home. Make it like you would for a 10 year old. Get a clown, lots of balloons ( you can make up more adventurous games with them. ) play all those silly games you hated when you were 10. Don't forget the bouncy castle. Much more fun with a few drinks and no kids.
I went to a party like this, it was FANTASTIC.
