What's the smallest tip possible one can leave without disrespecting the waitor?!

Question:

What's the smallest tip possible one can leave without disrespecting the waitor?

Answers:
22%. That is the standard today.

if you cheap out too much, then you disrespect yourself..

if the service wasnt any more then mediocre, then id leave about 10%, if it was good i will leave 20% or better..

That depends on the place, but I would say that it's the 15% of the whole bill

With out a doubt 10%.

No less!

Definitely more but not less.

if you are planning on leaving a SMALL tip, you ARE disrespecting the waiter. 15% of the check is standard for satisfactory regular service, 20-25% for exceptionally good service. if you are not satisfied with the service (not the food...remember, THAT was done by the cooks), leave a smaller tip reflecting the level of your dissatisfaction...from 10% down to a quarter.

15%

15% of the total bill.

Anything less than 15% means you were very unhappy with the service. 20% is average.

It's not just about respect. In most states, "tipped employees" are excepted from all or part of the minimum wage laws. That means the employers can, and most do, reduce food server wages by the expected tips they should be receiving, so without normal tips they are not earning enough to live on.

if you're so worried about the tip, you don't have enough money to go out to eat.

15% is the standard, 20% is normal for exceptional service. I think that people today over tip for the service that they receive. If you have a problem with your dining experience, speak to a MANAGER and have them discount or comp some menu items.... Do not ever 'stiff' the waiter/waitress as they are not paid much per hour and depend on tips.... The exception being if they are totally indifferent to you even being there. Hope this helps.

CHECK / TIP 15%
26.OO / 3.90
40.00 / 6.00
60.00 / 9.00
80.00 / 12.00
95.00 / 14.25

15-22% is standard. 15% is what's expected, and if you have good service you should leave more, up to 22%. I don't really think you could leave less than 10% without being rude. Even that will be somewhat upsetting to a waiter, but if you feel you actually had BAD service, and it was the fault of the waiter, then there are always situations that cause for different circumstances.

$1 per person

3 cents.

tip if you want its managements job to insure good service not you

First learn to spell, then learn to go out. After that go home and learn to spell some more.

2 cents

depends on how much your bill is.. I was always told you should double your tax and you'll be good to go.

What about a penny for good service

Look to see what the tax is on the meal - 10% - and that is what you could leave.
