Groom's cake ideas...please help!!?!

Question:

Groom's cake ideas...please help!!?

My fiance likes drawing, video games, star wars, and he works in construction..and we can't find anything we like!! Please help!

Answers:
Well, find out which of the choices you mentioned is his favorite, make a layer cake, or even a tiered later cake, and put on (for example) little contsruction vehicles, construction tools, etc from the Dollar Store toy section, and top it off with a toy Hard Hat with his name on it. Or Star Wars figurines.
Best of luck to you both!!!

I've decorated hundreds of cakes..................

When i got married i made my husband cake a basketball.See you have to find out what he like and make it what every he likes.

Why not have a billboard type of design with star wars logo... then instead of actors as the leading people.. use your name and his as the stars of the show? Or.. you could have a computer monitor shape or television monitor shape.. with a person drawing a bride and groom stick figure.. with the date and essential information on it !

Since he likes off the wall things I would make the cake off the wall, something people will remember forever. Like the groom driving a crane and you hanging from it. Or a glow in the dark galaxy cake with the bride and groom in Star Wars cloths cake topper... Good luck don't stress too much!

maybe you could do a sheet cake collage, the cake could look like a sketch pad... with pictures of all his favorite things i.e. joystick for video games, hammer and tape measurer, and his favorite thing from star wars.... Good luck on the cake and best wishes on your wedding!

Make your sheet cake like an abstract painting with a frame done in icing, and then lots of different colored icings lashed onto the white background like a modern painting.

In my family we have done a "dog house" cake. As in the groom is in the dogs house now. It is done with chocolate cake and icing (opposite the wedding cake). We put a picture on the cake of the groom inside a little dog house we have passed down the ages. This tradition is going on 85+ years now- same dog house and all the pics are kept with it. Just an idea.

You could make a tiered cake. Bottom tier, construction (tiny tonka trucks around bottom), next tier, drawing (pencils lined up around edge of tier), next tier, star wars figures, Top tier, joystick.

Or pick ONE of his "things" and go with that. For the construction, you could buy a big tonka dump truck and fill it with cake or brownie pieces.

A replica of a his favorite video game case.
