Tape/cd player with adjustable volume and a Hawaiian music tape/cd
This game is played like musical chairs!. Lay out one less beach towel and/or beach mat than you have players/beach walkers!. Have the beach walkers walk in a circle around the towels/mats when the music plays!. When the music is turned off the beach walkers must stand on the towel/mat!. The beach walker who does not make it to a towel/mat must sit out until the next game!. Remove another towel/mat and turn the music back on!. Keep repeating this until there is only one beach walker left
Put together two sets of "tourist gear" containing items like a beach hat, sunglasses, lei, hula skirt, shorts, aloha shirt or muumuu, flip flops, snorkel fins and snorkel, pail and shovel, camera on a strap, etc!. Each set of tourist gear needs to have similar if not exactly the same items!.
Have your guests divide into two teams!. For this relay all team members begin at a start/finish line!. One at a time a each team has a member run to the pile of tourist gear, put on one item then run back to the start/finish line and pass the item on the awaiting tem member!. After the tourist gear is on the new team member they run down to the pile of tourist gear and put on another item, run back to the start/finish line and pass off the tourist gear to the next awaiting team member!. Each person takes a turn in the relay until the first person wearing ALL the tourist gear crosses the start finish line!. This is a great game to take fun photos of your luau guests!!!

1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2-inch slice fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 pineapple, peeled and sliced lengthwise
1 tablespoon chiffonade or thinly sliced mint leaves
Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sugar and water!. Marinate meat in the mixture in a plastic bag overnight in the refrigerator!.
Preheat the grill to high heat!. Skewer meat on skewers!. Cook over hot coals until done to your liking, about 4 to 5 minutes for medium rare!.
Place pineapple slices on grill!. Cook on both sides until there are grill marks and the natural sugars have helped it to brown, about 2 minutes per side!.
Place beef skewers on top of grilled pineapple slices and garnish with mint
grilled pineapple and coconut icecream
1/4 cup shredded coconut, lightly toasted
1 pint coconut pineapple ice cream
1 (11!.5-ounce) can pineapple coconut nectar
1 teaspoon dark rum
1 can sliced pineapple
To toast coconut, place shredded coconut in a frying pan over medium heat!. Stir constantly until lightly golden!.
In a bowl, combine ice cream, nectar, and rum and mix until smooth consistency!. Put into a container and place in freezer for 2 to 3 hours!.
In a grill pan over high heat (or outdoor grill), grill pineapple rings for 3 to 5 minutes!. Turn over and grill for an additional 3 to 5 minutes!. Remove to plate and set aside!.
To serve, place pineapple ring on plate with a scoop of Iced Coconut Cream!. Top with any accumulated juice from pineapple!. Sprinkle with toasted coconut!.
Cook's Note: Iced Coconut Cream freezes hard!. Let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping!.

1 1/2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled with tails on
Red Curry Sauce, recipe follows
1 green onion, white and green part, chopped
1 handful fresh mint leaves, hand-torn
Heat 3 inches of oil in a large deep skillet or heavy pot to 325 degrees F!.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch, egg whites, salt, and pepper until foamy!. Spread the coconut out in a pie dish!. Dredge the shrimp with the cornstarch/egg white mixture and shake off any excess!. Press the shrimp into the coconut flakes; turn shrimp over and press into coconut again to coat both sides!.
Deep-fry the shrimp in batches until the coconut is golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes!. Using tongs or a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp to paper towels to drain!. Arrange the shrimp on a platter, serve immediately with red curry sauce and garnish with green onion and mint

3!. Get a mini umbrella (the kind used in coctails)and stick it in the pudding!.
4!. Place a teddy gram on a life saver and it looks like the teddy bear is having some fun at the beach!.
