Here are some ideas:
Indoor Rock climbing - you can rent out the whole place or a room
Bungee jumping - might be a little too much too soon
Beach Weekend - rent a beach house and make a weekend of it
Movie Marathon - rent a bunch of movies by her favorite actor/actress, make some popcorn, order pizzas, and have a sleepover
SURPRISE!!!! - tell her that it's just going to be the family this year. Have Grams come over and take her out for ice cream or something. Then the whole surprise party can assemble. You can end it with the movie marathon sleepover for her girlfriends.
Cruise - if you live near any body of water, there are usually cruises available
Tour - take a tour! There are tours in many towns and cities of interesting sites. A ghost tour would be super cool. I want to go!
The Amazing Race - or another tv theme party. The Amazing Race is a really cool tv show to have a party around. It wil take a lot of planning and thought on your part. You would also need the help of other parents. You'd have to have several destination in mind and then write clues that the kids could read when they get to each destination to take them to the next. You should also include a challenge or two. This would only work if your girl is a good sport! :)

I'd ask her what she wants to do...I have a 14 yr. old, and it started out she was going to the movies, and ended up we are going to NASCAR races in a few weeks.

Try asking her if not, she may have some ideas, or give her some, skating, pool, midnight bowling, pizza and a sleep over, a day camp at the lake, get dressed up and go out to eat somewhere very nice.
When my daughter was that age, we had small parties with only 3-4 girls involved.. kept me sane and not the expense of a big pary.
best would be ask her i an 14 me self and didn't have a b'day party since was 12 like so it depends not every one likes parties
well first find out what she likes, or what she would want her party theme to be if she had one. or try to give her hints, or try to figure out if she is giving hints and if she is figure out what her hints are. or ask one of her friends what she likes, or what she would want.
What about a dinner party at home you could serve the food and have non alcoholic wine.
i am also a 14 year old girl and if my mum threw me a party i think i would like it to be a sleepover with all of my friends and a few dvd's. That way they could all just get to chat and have fun but you wouldnt really have to do anything!
