Does anyone have any tips on throwing a great surprise birthday party?
My hubby is turning 31, I am going to have it at my house and maybe do a fish fry.

it would be best if no vehicles can be seen. maybe have an alternate place for the guests to park. make sure he has plans for earlier in the day so you can get everything ready. can't get him out of the house? give him a long grocery list.
If you garage is big enough have it in there. A less conspicuous place, he might not suspect a thing. Get him out of the house, ask a friend to take him fishing or something like that. Have friends help decorate the garage. good luck!
Have him meet you somewhere for drinks, if can't get away have a friend. When it's time for the party say you have a surprise for him place on a blindfold. Drive around for a while to confuse him. When you get to the house lead him through a back entrance. Have a drink waiting for him when he takes off the blindfold.
Have everyone get together for a party and when the birthday boy or girl arrives jump out and yell "happy birthday (wrong name)" then crowd around the other person and make a big deal before saying surprise and revealing to the actual birthday boy or girl it was only a joke.
