I love to do little baskets! Get a small basket or other container!. You may even have one at home that's not getting any love!. Depending on the them you are doing, it could be a basket to keep makeup in, a popcorn tub from blockbuster, something useable and cute!.!.!.then fill it with things from your theme!. Here are a few ideas:
Unpopped popcorn tub can fit a DVD (or two preprinted movie tickets from the movie theater), some typical movie candy (in the states i would get red vines, chocolates, raisinets, etc!.!.whatever my friend loves), and a cool soda or two (like an unusual kind, or your bfs fave beverage)!.
Get any basket and fill it with a nail polish, a lotion, a face mask, nail file, sponge, a couple barettes or stick on jewels for nails, some fake tattoos, some cozy socks, a CD you burn yourself of her favorite songs!.
You could also do a single gift!.!.!.!.henna kits are popular here, you guys can spend time together doing henna tattoos on each other!. Or what about a special bracelet or locket necklace that you can engrave the back of!. We have a shop here called "things remembered" that does that type of thing!.
If you want something personal, pick a favorite picture of the two of you or a group of your friends and buy a special frame, then burn a cd of friendship songs and get a few of her favorite treats!.
If you are creative, you can make a cool scrapbook using the pics you have of each other and all your friends!.!.!.you can write special messages on different pages inside of it!. If you have a group of friends, everyone can do their own page and then you can bind them together!.
I guess it depends on what she loves!. I think at 13, music is a pretty big deal (and less expensive than video games) and of course since she's your best friend, something more personal might be cool!. Lots of people get matching things too, so that could be fun!.!.!.

Well I'm going on a school trip over my Best Friend's Birthday, she i also turning 13 and is not Boyish but not a girly girl!.
I've got her, a scrapbook, I bought a really nice scrapbook in au naturale, I put themes for each page, like Flowers, School, Sports, Fashion etc!.!. I just make collages for backrounds on each page, from magazines and stuff!.!.!.!.
Then I have a friendship poem off the internet randomly in the scrapbook!.!. it will mean so much to your friend!.
I'm giving that to my friend on her birthday when we are away!.
And then for her party I am buying her lots of little things, like casual friendship bracelets, a photo frame with a picture of us in it, lots of jewelery and maybe a nice handbag and a chococolate insription, like you get from thorntons - get a poem definition of what a friend is and write it on paper then give it to the person at the counter of thorntons, then write your friend's name at the end!.
It means more if you get somebody something, that you put work into, but its also nice to get little things as well!.!.!.
