Food and drink for 30 people?!

Question:

Food and drink for 30 people?

I'm grilling out for 30 people. I'm having burgers. But how much of the side dishes - for example baked beans, drinks and dessert should I prepare. Does anyone know of a web-site for feeding a croud??

Answers:
When you find a recipe you like on allrecipes.com you can print it out and change the amount of people it's going to be made for.

Also take into account that not everyone will eat every side dish you put out, so make a few side dishes that will feed 12 people, and you should have more than enough for left overs.

Always cooking for LARGE groups.

I usually double or even triple what a normal person would eat at dinner at cook out. Figure on 2-3 burgers, 1-2 hot dogs, 3-4 oz. of coleslaw or beans, and a minimum 2-3 drinks per person even if many guests are children. Pies typically serve 6-8 people, a half sheet cake can easily feed 30, etc.

A restaurant supply outlet or club warehouse has baked beans in #10 cans (about 6lbs), bulk napkins, drinks, plates and everything else you may need. Have fun!

Figure on about 3 oz of beans per person, 1 dessert per person and at least 2 drinks each.
Assuming that the 30 people are guys and gals figure on 2 burgers per guy adn 1 per gal.
Hope that helps a little.

no.
