Wedding reception food ideas.?!

Question:

Wedding reception food ideas.?

I want to have a good food presentation. I'm having a beach wedding with flank steak and seafood, but I need side dish ideas and ways to present them. Thanks.

What about cutting a watermelon in half, lengthwise in a saw-tooth pattern. Then, with a melon baller, remove the melon part. Also use a melon baller on a honeydew melon and cantaloupe. Fill the empty watermelon shell with the mixed melon and either fill with ginger ale or champagne. Chill it for several hours. If you put it on a silver tray with other fruit, such as pineapple, strawberries, orange slices, etc. along with pretty greenery, it is gorgeous and very tasty.

a cheese tray! Yum!

puerto rican rice would be good. roasted corn and pepper black bean salsa, fresh fruit in watermelon basket,

fruit trays and fruit bowls are always pretty. i had a beautiful flank steak presentation in St. Thomas. they had the steaks laid out on toasted french bread. with the natural gravy over sauteed potatoes and green beans, you really can't go wrong.

-Grilled veggies are usually a hit, you could do them up on skewers with Peppers, mushrooms, onion and tomato. Then you get great colors.

-Rice Pilaf or wild rice would be good with seafood.

-Greek Salad, toss Tomatoes, Peppers, Onions and Cucumbers with feta cheese in greek dressing.

-Tri-colored pasta salad.

-Fresh homemeade salsa with chips

-Bruschetta

If you are grilling, you can do toasted garlic bread rounds on the grill, or grill pineapple slices to accompany meats.

A colorful salad, a rice platter, pasta salad, and of course, a vegetable/fruit/cheese/cracker tray.

fried rice, rice pilaf, peas and carrots, corn, scalloped au gratin potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese

there are some ideas for you.

Yum ...ceviche and avocado salad for the seafood, cold cucumber/tomato/red onion or 3 bean salad for the steak, all served in big wooden salad bowls with wooden tongs, and a service of favorite outdoor plates at the beginning of the buffet table. Maybe serve an assortment of breads, cheese, grapes and strawberries, and as a hot side dish choose a favorite scalloped or au gratin potato casserole, either goes well with seafood and steak. Congrats!
