Couple's Shower...ideas?!

I am hosting a couple's bridal shower (22-26 people) for my soon-to-be sister in law and my younger brother!. It will be mexican-themed as they are honeymooning in Los Cabos, Mexico!.
I am wondering, are appetizers such as chips and quacamole and salsa, taquitos, marinated shrimp and stuffed sweet peppers with goat cheese enough or do i need to do a MEAL!?
I am also serving margaritas on the rocks, beer and white wine spritzers!.
the shower is from 5-7pm on a saturday!. should i do games or will this BORE the male guests!?!?!?
this is a fun, young couple with a great sense of humor and laid back attitude!. i want to make this shower very fun and special for them!. any ideas would be MUCH appreciated!!!
thank you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can have games!. We did at my sister's shower!. Here are a couple of the games we played:

Blindfold the bride!. Have all of the men pull up one of their pant legs!. Then have the bride feel each man's leg and see if she can identify her husband-to-be's leg!. It's hysterical to watch, and it sounds like your brother and bride-to-be would enjoy it!.

We also did the "Design a Dress" game!. My mom had a bunch of leftover fabrics, plastic tablecloths, crepe paper, ribbons, bows, etc!. We broke everyone up into groups (we had a wide age range): guys, young women (including the bride), "more experienced women" (grandmas, aunts, moms, etc!.)!. Everyone had to choose a model and make a dress!. Obviously the future bride was one of the models, so the guys chose the future groom as a model!. It was great!.

Whatever games you choose, just have an upbeat attitude, and consider having little prizes for the winners!. You can find all kinds of silly, fun prizes at dollar stores, etc!. They don't have to be practical; it's better if they're silly and fun!. You also want to have some non-alcoholic drinks available for people who don't drink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Time of day will determine whether or not you need to serve a meal or just appetizers!. I would not have games!. However, if your location has a pool table or dart board - I would encourage the guys to have fun!.

Oriental Trading Company has some decorations that would be perfect!. They are cheap and ship quickly!.

Put on some music and have fun!. Don't stress over the details!. Good food + good friends = good time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No games required but I would maybe do a bit more food for the time of day you are having the event!. You could get the fixings for fajitas or enchillatas and everyone could build their own or another idea might be tacos which actually might be a bit easier!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think its a great idea as it means people can talk to each other and it is more informal and they dont have to sit down and each, everyone can talk to everyone and have a bit of everything and if theyre not very hungry they dont have to have alot, it sounds like a great idea! :DWww@FoodAQ@Com

Every shower I have attended with my wife, the men would go into another area and watch TV, sports usually, while the women played games and opened the gifts, then we would all go to the buffet at once!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most couple showers never work!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I guess it depends what youre wanting to do!.!.!.i agree with an earlier answer the guys usually go in and watch a ball game or movie!.!.!.so

I'd turn off the TV!.!.!.!. no one inside by the tv!.!.!.back ground music would be fine,!.!.!.!.why not salsa/latin music, why not hire someone to teach some salsa dancing or

have maybe some out door games,, washers, badmitton, horse shoes, maybe even a tournament!.!.!.!. maybe make a big bracket and show the winners , pick teams from drawing names from a hat !.!.!.guys are so competitive they'd love it and gals are too, give out ribbons (1st, 2nd and 3 rd place)how a bout a pininita with adult prizes, one dollar lottery tickets, glo in the dark necklaces, shot glasses, candy etc etc)

the time frame you have 5-7 is dinner time, your food sounds fine but people may be expecting more!?!?!?!? what if you added a few things and made it a taco salad bar!.!.!. just a suggestion!.!.!.!.i think magraritas and salas and chips are fine but you dont want everyone leaving going to go out to eat!.!.!.!.or maybe you dont care!.!.!.

You could have some tradional games like match the famous couples!.!.!.on a peice of paper write down like 25 names of half the couples like romeo and they have to come up with julet or fred they need to write wilma you could even put down like their grandparenst names,Www@FoodAQ@Com

just appetizer type foods will be fine, no need for a full meal!.
how about a pinata stuffed with adult type items- lottery cards, water bottle juice mix, decks of cards, chap stick!.!.!.stuff any adult would like to have, just wander the store and pick up little items (maybe even stop at the pron store for some mini lubes and flavored condoms!) you can also play this game where you have to pass a orange between people and you can't use your hands!. how about an adult version of pictionary or charades- make up cards relating to weddings or the couple to be! here are a bunch of other game ideas http://www!.partygamecentral!.com/pgcstand!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
