As a joke In high school I counted and came up with 263 ;)
I started to count.
I ran out of fingers and toes.
After that, I was in trouble.
I did discover this, though.
The center makes your teeth
stick together.
It varies from person to person according to the size of the surface-area of the tongue, the velocity of the licking and the amount and viscosity of the person's saliva.
What has been definitively proven is that a single incidence of biting will negate an experiment and you'll have to start over with another Tootsie Pop.
